Synopsis
The recruits close in on a rescue site inMilford, careful to stay in their vehicle disguises.Hot Shotcomes up with a plan to save some construction workers trapped under a collapsed scaffolding, andWedgeis impressed the other Bot has matured enough to do rescues he can't take the credit for. The plan fails to get underway as five teenagers suddenly arrive and introduce themselves as the "Rescue Teens" —Rotorz,Doc,Digz,Hooks, andHot Dog.The site foreman wants them to keep back, but the teens spring into action and, withMedixsecretly helping out with his magnets, succeed in rescuing the construction workers. Though confused by events, the recruits reason that all that matters is the rescue was completed, and head back to base.
Later, the recruits watch the news as the Rescue Teens are reported on, and are startled when thenews anchorcredits the teens with the last two years of mysterious rescues in Milford.Heatwavedispatches the recruits to deal with a fire at a campsite near Milford; however, no sooner have they arrived than the Rescue Teens turn up, having seen the fire from their treehouse HQ. The teens set about fighting the fire, and Wedge flings Hot Shot into a tree, where he uses his own water reserves to put out the blaze. The rescue again makes the news, credited to the Rescue Teens. The recruits continue to secretly assist the teens as they carry out a series of rescues around Milford, but begin feeling a huge dose of jealousy as the teens continue to get all the credit. It gets so bad thatWhirlreports that they missed a rescue.
The Rescue Teens stumble on a possum trapped in machinery at a logging site and spring into action. Unfortunately in the process of trying to rescue the critter, they activate the digger which starts spinning uncontrollably. Meanwhile, Cody tells the recruits thatChaseandBladeswere able to deal with the missed rescue call. Worried about the Rescue Teens, Medix patches into their camera drone and spots that they're in trouble. Stuck atop a cargo container, the teens are sent down a hill by the rogue digger. The recruits are forced to transform to bot mode in order to stop the container before it flies off a cliff. They take the stunned Rescue Teens back to the Academy, where the teens promise not to reveal their secret and are offered the chance to train as first responders.
