Thankfully, Stratosphere was escorted by theAerialbots, and when Starscream had proven too potent a threat, the AerialbotsBreakaway,Silverbolt, andAir Raidexited Stratosphere's cargo area to battle Starscream. Unfortunately, after a lengthy dogfight, all three Aerialbots were defeated.Dark of the Moon (Xbox 360/PS3)
Toys
Revenge of the Fallen
- Superion(Multi-pack,2009)
- Revenge of the FallenSilverbolt is aredecoofEnergonStorm Jet,transforming into a Cybertronic jet based vaguely upon an SR-71 Blackbird spy plane. He was available with theRevenge of the FallenSuperiongiftset, and when combined with the other Aerialbots, Silverbolt forms the torso.
- The Superion five-pack was originally intended to be released as part of the 2008Universeline asGeneration 1Superion,with Silverbolt representing G1Silverbolt,but was ultimately only released inUniversepackaging on non-US markets such as Singapore and Australia, whereas the USA, Canada and Mexico got the toy inRevenge of the Fallenpackaging instead, exclusivelyavailable atTargetstores in the USA and at Zellers stores in Canada, and as a mass market release in the United Kingdom. His components were not available separately, only in a combiner five-pack.
- Like the Storm Jet version of the sculpt, Silverbolt features several instances ofmisassembly:The more obvious one affects his inside legs, which are swapped so that the knee joint faces the wrong way. Although a swap (involving tiny pieces and springs) fixes this, at least a few specimens reportedly had one leg assembled correctly, and the other one incorrectly, making repair impossible. Furthermore, his shoulders are also misassembled, since there is a sculpted chevron...in his armpit. A fix for this requires removing metal pins, which is at least easier than on the original Storm Jet version of the sculpt, since Silverbolt's pins have the ridged section on one end, rather than in the center.
Notes
- Silverbolt'sDark of the Moonvideo game body is a reuse of theAerialbot Scoutsfrom theRevenge of the Fallengame, though apparently with the large chest plate pecs removed.
- Silverbolt was reported to appear inDark of the Moonand he was to be voiced by the lateJames Avery, but no such character appeared in the final film.[1]
