TOMIX

TOMIX(トミックス) is themodel traindepartment ofTakaraTomy's scale model-oriented subsidiaryTomytec.They are the largest model train manufacturer in Japan and a household name among model train hobbyists worldwide. When TakaraTomy'sTransformersteam secured the partnership of theJapan Railways Groupgoverning much of Japan's rail industry to launch theMPGwith a line of fully licensedTrainbots,TOMIX were naturally consulted as the company railway experts. As the product line evolved, the consultation grew into a full-on collaboration between the two departments, and TOMIX is ultimately responsible for producing alternate modes that are not just accurate, but fully functional HOscalemodel trains.^[1]
