The Rescue Bots find they have new recruits to train, but these newbies are hiding a dark secret.

Synopsis
Graham,CodyandFrankiehave taken theDarby AvatoWayward Islandto check on the sensors after the previous night'searthquake.The trio spot the cave they foundIrain during a previous visit, and go inside to see if he's safe. As they walk through the cave, an aftershock sends them running for shelter and chunks of ice fall from the roof. Everyone's fine, but they spot a spacecraft, within which they can seeTransformersinstasis pods.After a quick call, theRescue Botsjoin them in examining the ship, though according toHeatwaveit's incredibly old. They force their way on board but whenChasetries to access the flight log, there's not enough power to run the computer. On Cody's suggestion,Bouldergrabs the ship's primary memory core, and finds it's damaged. Heatwave activates the first pod, revivingBlurr,who at first thinks he's back onCybertron.After introductions, Blurr explains that the ship got hit by a meteor storm and happily accepts the credit for saving Ira and his people. Boulder revivesSalvage,who turns out to be unable to remember events following the crash due to damage to his pod. Another aftershock hits, and the Bots evacuate the cave before it collapses.
The team heads back towardGriffin Rock,and Salvage is fascinated by the recycling bin Cody uses, regarding the contents as valuable. Blurr's surprised to see Boulder's got the memory core, and while no one's looking, surreptitiously tries to knock it overboard unsuccessfully.Optimus Primemeets them at the laboratory and explains that they're welcome to stay onEarth.They visit a car museum so the two newcomers can scan new alternate modes. Salvage picks a garbage truck, despiteChase's suggestion of a more conventional vehicle, and drives around a bit to try it out. Blurr, having scanned a racing car, recklessly jumps Optimus's trailer, endangering Cody in the process. Optimus announces that he's arranged withChief Burnsfor them to stay on Griffin Rock and train as rescuers if they wish, and the pair accept, though Blades is worried about being replaced, and Heatwave isn't keen on the idea either.
Cody takes Salvage to the scrap yard, where the new Bot is in his element, and is fascinated by Cody's harmonica. The rest of the team arrives back at thefirehousewhere Blurr is greeted byServoand introduced to the other Burnses. Blurr's more interested in racing Heatwave on the obstacle course, and though he takes the lead early on, Heatwave manages to pass him. Blurr crashes, forcing Heatwave to go back for him, however it turns out that it was just a feint, and Blurr takes the opportunity to streak to the finish line. No one thinks this is very fair, and Blurr makes a joke about cavemen and seat belts. Salvage and Cody arrive, the former with a giant harmonica he's fashioned out of scrap. Receiving an emergency call, the team swings into action, with Blurr and Salvage tagging along. Blurr races in and retrievesDon's car from the crane it's crashed into, however that destabilizes the crane, which threatens to fall on them.
While the Rescue Bots hold up the crane, Don's retrieved from his car, however if they release the crane, it'll drop on City Hall. Blurr's eventually convinced to help hold it up, and Salvage has an idea — using a nearby generator and some scrap to create an electromagnet. He's then able to use the electromagnet to pull the crane upright and Heatwave repairs the base of the crane. The others call Blurr out for his blundering and ask how he was unable to help now when he saved all those cavemen. Optimus arrives with the ship's memory core, repaired thanks toDoc Greene,and the truth. The core plays back the log, showing that though the ship crashed as Blurr had said, it was Salvage who was set on saving the cavemen from the meteors. When a caveman, Ira, was missing, Blurr went ostensibly to look for him, but instead headed back to the ship. Salvage found Ira himself and caught Blurr trying to take off in the ship. When the meteors began hitting the cave, the two Autobots were forced to go into stasis. As the log ends, Blurr apologizes for misleading everyone. Returning to the firehouse, Optimus believes they shouldn't give up on Blurr, and Heatwave reluctantly agrees to help train him.
