Anthony Joseph Pope(March 22,1947-February 11,2004) was an American voice actor. He was probably best known as the voice ofHasbro's popularFurbytoy, as well as the voice of Newton Gimmick and other voices in the popular toy seriesThe Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin.His other famous roles included Geppetto in Disney'sHouse of MouseandKingdom Hearts,Zhuqiaomon inDigimon: Digital Monsters,General Revil in theMobile Suit Gundam Trilogy,Shunsaku Ban inMetropolis,and countless characters in theJump Starteducational video games.

In 2004, he passed away at the age of 56 due to complications caused by leg surgery. He was survived by his wife Patricia Lentz and his daughter Marcella Lentz-Pope, who are also voice actresses.
