All toys in the series are heavyretoolsof theAlternityConvoymold, transforming into 1:32 scale Nissan GT-R racing cars representing real-life cars participating in Super GT. While they all have the same base mold, each toy features a unique head, weapon andGT Sister,a human partner in the form of aMicroman-basedrace queenfigure. TakaraTomy also collaborated with "Kid's Walk", events organized by Super GT to boost interest in sports car racing among children by letting them and their parents visit the racing circuits on special pit walks with activities and prizes. TakaraTomy contributed in the form of the "Transformers GT x Kids' Walk"promotion where they gave away exclusive available in limited quantities and only given to children in middle school or younger:
Super GT races and Team Mach
Finally, TakaraTomy participated in the Super GT proper with various promotions reflecting their patronage of the racers ofTeam Mach:
- In 2014, Team Mach's own Nissan GT-R wore various TakaraTomy sponsor marks, including a prominent Autobot insignia on the roof. TakaraTomy based a new Autobot namedMach Five Racing Primeon this car, and an actor dressed as this character appeared at various Super GT and Transformers events throughout the year.

The unproduced "GT-R Safety Prime"
It bears remarking that in addition to the properly released toys listed above, theTransformers GTstory pages prominently feature photography of a larger toy of Safety Prime retooled fromAlternityConvoyin the style of the toyline's mainline releases.
Notes
- The GT toys were available with exclusive calendars featuring art of the respective robots and GT Sisters if pre-ordered throughToy Hobby Market/TakaraTomy Mall. The deadline for Prime and Saber wasMarch 312013.
- GT-R Maximus was originally slated to be GT-03, but was pushed back to GT-04 with Megatron becoming GT-03. This may have had to do with the fact his original promotional art featured the same head as Prime rather than the newly tooled head the figure comes with.
- While it is unknown if Safety Prime's larger figure was ever intended for actual release, the labeling of Safety Prime's produced "Kid's Walk" toy as "Original Version" certainly belies the intention to produce more than one figure of the character.
