The all-destroyingMatrix Buster(マトリックスバスターMatorikkusu Basutā), also known as the "Red Matrix"(レッドマトリクスReddo Matorikusu), is the vessel of theRed Star Power,one of the Seven Lights of creation of thePrecursor World.It is entrusted to the leader of theRed Orderof thePrimus Vanguard.The core module can take on a more traditionalMatrixshape or be buried deep within its usual form of a massive cannon.

In the final battle between the Primus Vanguard and theSpecters,Red Order leaderRed Sentinel Primeunleashed the Red Matrix's Star Power along with the other six Lights to annihilate the Specters, which had the secondary effect of combining their multiverse into asingle multicolored world.Later, Primus, driven mad bygrim visionsof anapocalyptic future,demanded the Red Matrix so that he might destroy the universe; Sentinel declined and returned to theRed Planetwith his Matrix.Finale Prelude

WhenTerrormandercame to theRed Planetin an attempt to take the Red Matrix, Sentinel inserted it into the Matrix Buster to shoot down theSeacon,but he simply brushed off the blast and took the cannon for himself. WhenGod Neptunewas formed, the Matrix Buster was mounted on his shoulder.God Neptune comic 1In the ensuing battle for the seven remaining Matrices of Star Power, the ghost ofBlue Big Convoyconfiscated the Matrix Buster and used it to give God Neptune a good blast. The victoriousMegatron Omegasubsequently retrieved the Matrix Buster's core as well as the other matrices stolen by the Seacons and began to absorb their Star Power into his ownSilver Matrix,only for a vengefulHalfshellto split his head open with theNeptune Sword,interrupting the process and sending the Red Matrix flying.God Neptune comic 2
