Pova is a planet located in theRedan Quadrantsomewhere in the galaxy, whose inhabitants have had dealings with theCybertroniansduring theircivil war.At some time in the past, anon-interference pactwas signed between thePoviansand bothTransformerfactions, ensuring that theAutobotsandDecepticonswould keep their waroffPova.

Twenty years ago, however,Impactorand theWreckersviolated that agreement when they pursued the maliciousSquadron Xto Pova. Squadron X were caught off-guard, as all they'd been doing was refuelling on the planet.Zero PointAfter a brutal battle, Squadron X was captured and immobilized by the Wreckers. When Impactor called for a pick-up, though,Prowlinstructed him to turn the Decepticons loose rather than risk the political fallout with the Povians. Incensed at having pursued the butchers across nine sectors for nothing, Impactor shut himself inside the bunker with Squadron X and killed all of them in cold blood.Springerreported his actions toAutobot High Command,and Impactor was sentenced toGarrus-9after being found guilty byAequitas.Last Stand of the Wreckers #5

The official version, which "somehow" got leaked out toFisitronfor hisWreckers: Declassifieddatatracks,read a bit differently. In the edited sequence of events, the Wreckers killed Squadron X in battle after the Decepticons somehow slipped their bonds and began fighting anew. No mention of Pova's neutrality or the Decepticons' reason for being there was made.Last Stand of the Wreckers #4
