Razorclaw is a heroicDecepticonPredaconfrom theShattered Glasscontinuity family.

It's totally cool with me if you don't know who I am.

Formerly a science professor atTyrest University,Razorclawwas forced to flee into theManganese Mountainswith two of his students,DivebombandRampage,when the evilAutobotsdestroyed the campus. Known for unconventional thinking, he patiently retaught himself and hisPredaconrefugees to be the ultimate hunters. Though eventually stories were told of the beastly shadows that haunted the Manganese Mountains, that did not stop a few curious Transformers from seeking out Razorclaw's legendary wisdom. Though Razorclaw is now a creature of violence, he welcomes all who approach seeking knowledge.^[1]

A shrink ray was used on the Predacons at one point.

Razorclaw, along withStarscream,interceptedGoldbug's villainous Autobots when they infiltrated aPretenderfacility. AfterJazznoted that the shrink ray hadn't destroyed the Predacons, Goldbug sentGrimlockat them. Razorclaw was able to call in theMayhem Suppression Squadfor backup.Shattered Expectations

Man, every professor should take their students dinosaur-hunting.

Razorclaw and his fellow Predacons were first seen in theDecepticons'Polyhexwar room, where the Decepticons were orchestrating their attack on theArk.Razorclaw warned that their targets would be heavily guarded, prompting Starscream to suggest usingCliffjumper'sglass gasagainst the enemy's armaments.

At sundown, the Decepticons attacked. Razorclaw and Rampage took out thehapless guards,allowing the Decepticons' air forces to drop glass gas bombs on the front lines. AsMegatronordered the rest of the Decepticons to attack, Razorclaw and the other Predacons countered the dimwitted Grimlock.Shattered Glass

WhenRicochetkidnapped Megatron on the eve of theArk's second launch, Razorclaw and the Predacons joinedWhisperon the rescue mission. After Whisper's talent for chaos and noise got them past Ricochet's guard posts, the Micromasters split up to locate Megatron in the bowels of theUnderbase's former home. Razorclaw found him first, just asOptimus Primearrived on the scene to take credit for his lackey's work. Razorclaw feinted an attack on Prime, which the evil overlord easily dodged, allowing the Predacon to snare his real target: the release lever which activated Ricochet's death-trap. With Megatron on the verge of freeing himself, Optimus turned towards his eternal nemesis long enough for Razorclaw to attack again...and this was no longer a feint. Razorclaw's bite delayed Prime long enough for the rest of the Predacons to arrive, and the Micromasters soon escaped with Megatron.Do Over

Part ofBotCon 2008'sexclusivebox set of figures, Razorclaw is aredecoofClassicsOverbite,transforming into a robotic wolf. As a Mini-Con mold, he has aPowerlinxsocket on each hip, allowing him to attach to larger toys with Powerlinx pegs.

Razorclaw was only available as part aBotCon 2008exclusivebox set, along withShattered Glassiterations ofOptimus Prime,Grimlock,Goldbug,Autobot Jazz,andStarscream.

Notes

• Razorclaw and his fellow Predacons are drawn inconsistently in size. Early in their "Shattered Glass"appearance, they look no shorter than the other Decepticons, but during the attack on theArk,they are tiny.
