- CollaborativeSoundwave transforms, as his name suggests, into aDreadnokThunder Machine. Much like previousG.I. JoeCollaborativereleases, he comes with retro-styled G.I. Joe figures, those beingZaranaandZartan,who can ride in his Thunder Machine mode or man his turret. The inside of his vehicle mode doors have molded notches for storing their small handheld weapons.
- The toy features mildpartsformingwherein the front roll-cage of the vehicle mode must be removed, split, and attached as kibble in robot mode. Minor assembly is required out of box, as the chaingun barrels and vehicle antenna need to be attached.
- The packaging featuresGMlicensing and namedrops the Camaro, the Corvette, and their associated symbols despite those elements not appearing anywhere on the set or its box. The toy itself features a molded Pontiac symbol and a '79Pontiac Firebird's front end as part of its vehicle mode.
- Though designated for a 2024 release, pre-orders for the Soundwave Thunder Machine shipped out early in late 2023.
