Synopsis
In the underground chamber of the Mother Computer, Rung cradles the dying Spike Witwicky, having forgiven Spike after he expressed his regret at not loving the Selectors as their children. Spike entreats Rung to carry him to the nearby storage closet, where a reconstruction of his "inheritance" awaits...
In Neo Scramble City, the Angolmois Energy eruptions continue, with more Transformers being corrupted, inside and outside, by it. Megatron Omega recovers from his seemingly fatal injury, and Computron retrieves his intelligence from Volcanicus. With Superion and Defensor, Computron makes an attempt on Abominus, but his Angolmois Energy attack forces the combiners to split apart... and they recover as Comperian! Abominus is knocked over to Bruticus and Menasor and forcibly takes their limbs to become Abomenaticus.
Underground, the Quintesson Judge and Quintesson Bailiff are watching the battle unfold on a Slitherfang when they're surprised by Spike, now reborn as Neo Autobot X, and Rung. After incapacitating the Judge with an energon enema, Rung explains that now the Selectors and humanity have joined each other as equals. However, the Judge explains that it's not as simple as kicking them off the planet—the Angolmois Energy wasn't just reacting to the aliens' evil intentions, but also to the darkness in man's hearts that has festered on the planet for thousands of years. Can humans truly eradicate the wickedness from their being, the Judge asks.
Optimus Prime faces off against Megatron Omega, begging him to stand down, but unable to pull the trigger on his friend. Megatron has no compunctions, though, and simply shoots Optimus down. Megatron Omega screams, declaring that humanity will be exiled from Earth and that all of the planet's Angolmois Energy belongs to him. With it, he shall surpass Unicron himself. Abomenaticus doesn't take well to this claim, reforming Abominus who says that the planet belongs to the strongest—himself, not Megatron or the Quintessons.
The Quintesson Judge underground doesn't take this betrayal well, but Spike mulls over Megatron Omega's words; perhaps it's better for humans to leave the planet, if their evil is truly what's responsible for the Angolmois Energy's imbalance. Rung agrees to help... but he reminds Spike that the Selectors run on Angolmois Energy.
On the battlefield, Optimus Prime recovers with the power of the Reconfiguration Matrix. Thanks to Megatron's Angolmois beam, Optimus Prime's memory has been restored—he now remembers his 2011 self's time in the past universe, where they can find answers to the crisis currently taking place in 2050! Abominus continues his fight against Megatron Omega, but the balance of power is skewered towards Megatron, whose status as a being rebuilt by Unicron himself gives him an advantage against the secondhand construction of the Terrorcons. Abominus is knocked away, and the resulting crash frees the sparks trapped in his Hellspark (which Optimus Prime orders Wheeljack to gather). Megatron Omega makes one decisive Angolmois blast at Abominus, but it is blocked by Volcanicus using his Angolmois-made Magma Blade. Optimus Prime, knowing what must be done, orders the Dinobots to prepare for a warp hole and go through to discover the secrets of Angolmois Energy so that they can return Megatron to normal. The warp hole from Primus appears and Abominus, wanting to know those secrets as well, tags along.
At the Z Planet, the Powered Masters have collected all of the fragments of the Zodiac and combined them to form the Silver Matrix. An explosion suddenly goes off, throwing the Powered Masters to the ground. In its place reveals Primus, who has come for the Silver Matrix with an entourage of golden warriors! His envoy comments that they're closer to the future he envisioned, and the self-satisfied Primus notes that everything is proceeding along to his grand design.

Notes
Continuity notes
- Dreadwing and Smokescreen's pairing is due to them being allies all through G-2 and the Legends manga. "The Road to Legends' Revival Chapter 4" established Generation 1 Smokescreen and Generation 2 Smokescreen as the same individual in Japanese continuity.
- Jan Minakaze, the main human character of Victory makes a cameo with his love interest, Illumina. In the 25 years since Victory, they've evidently made it official and had a child.
- The golden Starscream is revealed to be the benefactor of the Space Pirate Seacons seen only in shadow in the second God Neptune comic, with his superior (あの方 ano kata) being Primus himself!
Errors
- Page 8, Panel 3: The name of Volcanicus's sword, "Magma Blade" (マグマブレード Maguma Burēdo), is misspelled as "Magna Blade" (マグナブレード Maguna Burēdo).
Transformers references
- Following on from Rodimus adopting his "Rodimus Unicronus" toy design, Mirage, Reflector, and Ratchet's Angolmois-corrupted forms are based on the Netflix Decepticon Mirage toy, Scrapface, and the Generations Selects Shattered Glass Ratchet toy, respectively.
- Neo Autobot X is upgraded version of Autobot X, who appeared way back in the original cartoon episode "Autobot Spike".
- Rung administers an energon enema to the Quintesson Judge. This medical procedure was briefly mentioned in Rung's dialogue in the mobile game, Earth Wars.
Other notes
- One of the Soundbarriers helping the humans on Astrotrain has a crutch to support himself, as he is missing one of his legs. The Soundbarrier mold has an infamous design flaw that causes legs to break after too many transformations...
