Category talk:Combiners
From Transformers Wiki
Alright, I was ABOUT to go through all the cimber teams and list the individuals in the "combiners" category. However, I was told a while ago not to do that. yet here Isee people have been doing it without trouble. So set me straight, do individuals warrant inclusion in the "combiners" category, or just the combined form? -DrSpengler 19:41, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- The individuals should probably be in the Combiners category, since the finished product is invariably a "Super Robot," not a "Combiner." The individuals are the guys who Combine. I don't recall the previous incident in which the reverse was stated. --ItsWalky 19:57, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Combiner Teams
Ultimately, it strikes me that categories like Protectobots should likely be subcats of the teams cat. It'd be really nice to be able to tree-browse from combiners to combiner teams to constructicons, etc.--Rosicrucian 19:23, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- I'd feel better if those were in this category, so users have a direct jump from "Combiners" to "Constructicons". Putting guys like Bonecrusher behind "Combiner Teams" isn't helpful. Interrobang 19:36, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
- Sometime back at the dawn of time, M Sipher and I -- and probably others -- discussed how many items a category needs before we bother making it, and we decided on ~6 specifically so that we could avoid having categories for every combiner team. A category like Protectobots exists because there is more than one team called by that name, meaning there's over a dozen articles. But there is no category for Technobots, for example. I'm not sure what the consequence of that is for your current discussion, but, be aware of it. G1 Razorclaw is listed in the combiners cat, but there is no G1 Predacons category for you to browse down to and find him that way. --Steve-o 18:05, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- The discssion I am thinking of is Category talk:Subgroups. And... apparently you've gone and made a Technobots category just yesterday, so I guess my example is out of date. --Steve-o 18:10, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
