The Defiant is a modular starship owned and operated by G.I. Joe's Star Brigade. A tough little ship, its formidable arsenal makes it a powerful defensive tool but an even greater offensive one.

Transformers vs. G.I. Joe
When Cybertron approached Earth, General Flagg rolled out a diplomatic stage for the Transformers while also sending Scarlett in the Defiant to invade the metallic planet should the natives prove hostile. When the Decepticons did indeed prove hostile, Flagg ordered the Defiant into action. I Saw Three Ships
The Defiant's first act of war was to launch a bombing run, starting with the abandoned Iacon, dropping its green bombs across the inorganic world. When the Defiant turned its weapons on Trypticon, however, its crew found the saurian Decepticon protected by an impregnable force field earning Megatron's attention. When Devastator was deployed as a countermeasure, the Defiant split in two, the combiner ripping the larger module apart. The shuttle module, piloted by Wild Bill, was shot down by the Decepticon air forces. Making the best of it, Bill slammed the Defiant into Devastator, splitting him apart and killing Long Haul.
