Located in the city of Iacon, the Forge Pyramid is an integral part of life on Cybertron—it is the building where new Transformers are forged and released into Cybertronian society. The forging of a new Transformer is a momentous occasion, marked by great open-air celebrations to commemorate this creation of new life.

The Pyramid had been in use for many years; new Transformers would be forged from sparks harvested from the Well of All Sparks and subsequently released into Iacon when they were ready—traditionally, these newborn Cybertronians would emerge from the building, be greeted by the ruling Prime, and be assigned to a mentor who would guide them through their early life and help them find a job and alternate mode. In the years that followed the ascension of Nominus Prime and the ratification of his Nominus Edict, new forgings became very rare and often took place more than a hundred cycles apart. The World In Your Eyes Part Three One manner of forgings that Nominus took explicit action against was those of Titans. Viewing the giants as being too resource expensive to grow to term, as well as encouraging further interstellar expansion, Nominus ordered the staff of the Pyramid to intercept and store any new Titansparks. Under Perceptor's watch, sixteen of these sparks were placed into a vault when they emerged from the AllSpark. Titans Cybertronians forged during this era include Bumblebee and Cliffjumper; the latter was a freak accidental forging, his creation unforeseen by the citizens of Iacon. Wannabee, Part 2

In the days before the outbreak of the Great War, Rubble was forged at the Pyramid and assigned to Bumblebee, marked by the customary festivities; however, with incumbent Prime Sentinel offworld, Rubble was instead greeted by Orion Pax. The World In Your Eyes Part Four Some forty days later, it was decided that that Pyramid would forge another Transformer as a way to placate Cybertron's population after Brainstorm's murder. Both Rubble and Bumblebee attended the ceremony and watched as the newly forged Transformer Gauge met Orion Pax and was placed in the care of Arcee and Greenlight. The World In Your Eyes Part Four

The Pyramid was one of the victims of the increasingly powerful quakes that plagued Cybertron, one of them rupturing the plasma drawtubes with only a magnetic field preserving the structure. Following Megatron's takeover of Iacon, the newly minted Optimus Prime visited the Pyramid where he learnt of the Titansparks. Concurrently, Megatron, having been informed of the sparks by Starscream, sent a force to claim them. The firepower unleashed damaged the machines producing the magnetic field, causing the Pyramid to be flooded with molten plasma. Titans

The Decepticons managed to recover a single Titanspark from the wreckage of the Pyramid. Megatron entrusted the prize to Mindwipe while also tasking him with rebuilding the Pyramid. Darkness, Once Gazed Upon: Part Two
