- Gingham is an Autobot Micromaster from the Zone portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Gingham (ギンガム Gingamu) leads the Super Car Patrol Team, a group of "Cyber Warrior" computer experts who helped create Zone City.

When Victory Saber initiated the "Zone Project", the Super Car Patrol helped rebuild planet Micro into planet Zone. To counter this threat, Violengiguar began conquering planets in order to create his own Decepticon Zone. The Race Car Patrol and all other Micromaster teams were then sent on patrol across the galaxy, specifically to planets where their unique skills could do the most good. Zone Part 1
When Bruticus attacked the planet Feminia, the Super Car Patrol were among several units of Micromasters deployed to stop him. Through teamwork, they proved triumphant. Zone Part 2

- Released in the Zone portion of Takara's Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers toyline, Gingham is a redeco of the Hasbro-release Decepticon Sports Car Patrol member Hyperdrive, transforming into a Mitsubishi X2S concept car.
- He was only available in a complete set with his teammates Black Heat, Deadhour, and Road Hugger.

- The Super Car Patrol Team was released a year later without alteration as part of the Return of Convoy line. The only difference is with the inclusion of Micro Trailer #12, a small transport/spring-loaded launcher vehicle compatible with larger toys in the line.
