Gobotron
From Transformers Wiki
Gobotron (also GoBotron) is home to transforming metallic organisms who are having a civil war, but these guys are actually the cyborg GoBots, with the Guardians' police force protecting from the constant Renegade insurgencies. It is known for its abundance of moons, including a prison moon, a knowledge moon, a fortress moon, a picnic moon, a spa moon, the moon of fire, the moon of shadows, four industrial moons (Zeta 1-Zeta 4), a communication moon (that Cy-Kill once stole for 48 hours), and a few unnamed others. The capital city is Gobotolis, which is protected by the Gobotron Fortress.

Renegade Rhetoric
The Evil One, the local version of Megatronus, nearly destroyed Gobotron with the Dark Heart in ancient times. He was eventually trapped under the Nazca Lines on Earth.
Later, the Renegades arose as a faction that, according to Cy-Kill sought to overthrow the unjust reign of the Guardians. Unwilling to concede defeat, the Guardians destroyed their planet with an asteroid strike. This necessitated the surviving population place their minds inside robotic bodies, called GoBots. The war for the planet continued to this day.
Gobotron had a prison moon. Cy-Kill intentionally got himself captured so as to free the Renegades inside. Later, Gunnyr and Bug Bite were held here and also freed by Cy-Kill. Renegade Rhetoric (1)

When a Cataclysm began to threaten the very existence of the universe, the inhabitants of Gobotron ceased their conflict, united with the remaining humans, and held an emergency summit. After meeting Gong in a Primax universe and deciding to have a contest of interdimensional chaos, Sideways journeyed to the Gobotron of Gargent 186.0 Gamma. Traveling to the Omega Locks at the core of the planet, Sideways tempered with them to cause properties of Gargent 186.0 Gamma to "bleed" into the Primax universe, tuning that universe into a strange and unstable Iocus reality containing Transformers and GoBots. A bartender in the Primax universe, however, alerted his brother Vec-Tor to Sideways's machinations, and Vec-Tor apprehended Sideways and restored Gobotron's Omega Locks to normal. Go-Bots
In its earliest incarnation, Gobotron was but a space station autonomously run by the Go-Bots. Go-Bots #5 After the Go-Bots, led by Leader-1 conquered Earth, they expanded Gobotron into a massive artificial planet that was built around the organic world. Under Leader-1's guidance, the Go-Bots built their world into mechanical duplicate of human society with the remains of Earth becoming known as the "Heart of Gobotron". All was not perfect on this world for threat both political, such as the Trade Federation's disputes, or existential, like the monstrous Zod, threatened Go-Bot society.
Having been off-world during the uprising, Spay-C returned home with four human astronauts who eventually breached the inner sanctum and found Turbo and Scooter who had elected to remain on Earth with what remained of humanity. Go-Bots #3
After the humans had descended into Earth, the Go-Bots followed so Leader-1 could retrieve the Lazer Lance and slay Zod. Though the monster was felled, Leader-1 himself died in battle. Go-Bots #4 When his forces returned to their world, they found its surface ravaged by the Vamps who were put down by Road Ranger. Assuming leadership of the planet, Road Ranger made the decision to leave Earth behind, disconnecting Gobotron from the organic world and charting a course for deep space so his people could start anew. As their world streaked through hyperspace, Road Ranger informed Bug Bite that, not only would they begin constructing new Go-Bots, they were going to seed the multiverse with new versions of Gobotron, each with their own name. Go-Bots #5
Notes
- Official GoBots media from the 1980s rendered the planet's name with camel casing as "GoBotron".
- During planning for the 2002-2003 Transformers: Armada toyline, Hasbro considered recycling the trademark "Gobotron" for Unicron's Mini-Con partner, who was ultimately named Dead End.
