Megaverse

Fourth-dimensionally speaking, the Megaverse is what lies between the Multiverse and the Omniverse. Where the Multiverse incorporates the many universal streams that are recognizable to us as what we would term "Transformers universes", the Megaverse is a wider sphere, containing that entire multiverse, but also innumerable other realities that, while far removed from the world(s) of the Transformers, are not so far removed as to be disconnected from them entirely, even if linked only by the thinnest of quantum threads. For instance, the adventures of America's highly-trained special mission force, G.I. Joe are largely confined to their own universes in the Megaverse, as are the escapades of the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand and the exploits of the Animorphs—but their links to the Transformers multiverse do lead to universes overlapping and interacting on occasion as they wend their way through eternity.

The Transcendent Technomorphs do not typically monitor or classify Megaversal universes, as they are considered to be outside of their purview. One notable exception occurred with the discovery of the Cymond Cluster, which was originally believed to be outside the multiverse, but was recently found to exist right on the Multiverse/Megaverse border, a sort of "transitional ancestor" linking the Transformers to the wider Megaverse. Notes

  • The concept of the "Megaverse" originated with Marvel Comics, conceived to explain where titles published by the company that had no relation to their famous characters or their world—for example, the New Universe or the Ultraverse—"existed". Ask Vector Prime co-opted the term.
