Synopsis
When a Decepticon is detected somewhere within the walls of Metroplex, Scamper comes rolling out, bemoaning the fact that most of the Autobots are out protecting a nearby town against a Decepticon attack. Believing that the invaders are after his transformation cog, Metroplex transforms to battle station mode to cut off access to it, and suspects that the attack on the town was a distraction—something soon confirmed by the appearance of the boastful Metrobomb, who blasts off one of Scamper's arms. The cog, however, is not Metrobomb's aim: he is here to obtain data on Metroplex's new form.
At the Decepticon base, a badly injured Metrotitan convalesces after his recent defeat at Metroplex's hands, seething with hatred for his opposite number and vowing to destroy Metroplex once the data Metrobomb has been sent to steal has been used to rebuild him into comparably powerful new body. Recalling Metroplex's previous claims of Decepticon brainwashing, Metrotitan believes that his ability to feel such hatred is proof that his emotions and mind are his own, free of tampering... while Straxus, perched on his shoulder with his hand wired into his head, calmly whispers in his ear to "validate" his beliefs.
Data obtained, Metrobomb is picked up by Kickback for extraction, but before he can get away, a manipulator arm rises from Metroplex's surface and seizes him. A surge of energy from the arm wipes the data from Metrobomb's system, and Scamper cheers for their victory.

Notes
Transformers references
- The ship Kickback comes to pick Metrobomb up in is the jet pod from the toy that was sold as the interstellar shuttle by Hasbro, and as the Thunder Arrow by Takara. This being Japanese continuity, the immediate reaction would to be to consider this pod to have come from the Thunder Arrow, but that was a biiiiig ship, so this strip's depiction of the pod as a small one-man craft would make the scale super-off.
- And why is Kickback in the ship? Well, he and the other two Insecticons were available as mail-order items in Japan at the time Metrotitan was available in stores.
