First Sergeant Patrick Donnelly[1] (also Donnely in some sources[2]) is a membah of Captain Lennox's US Army Ranger unit, a smaht-mouthed Bostonian stationed at SOCCENT Forward Operations Base in Qatar. He is the highest-ranked enlisted man in the unit (the 'top kick', not ta be confused wit the TopKick). As such, he should totally display exemplary leadership skills; however, he's the guy that thinks we're all gonna die.

"Uh, Epps, you're leakin' brain fluid..."

Comin' back from a wicked hahd mission behind enemy lines, Lennox's men discussed what they were goin' ta do once they got home. Donnelly asked his buddies if they remembed weekends, how enjoyable a flat beer and a cold hot dog while watching the Red Sox at Fenway was, ta which they agreed, suggestin' that they all wanted ta go home ta enjoy their weekends and not a reflection on the quality of food served at the base mess.

Aftah SOCCENT was like, destroyed by a mysterious MH-53 Pave Low that turned into a giant robot, Donnelly expressed disbelief when Sergeant Epps theorized that the reason their small-arms fire bounced off the enemy was like, due ta some kind of invisible force field. Donnelly scoffed, saying that sort of imaginary technology only existed in fiction such as comic books. A spooked Figueroa commented that his mothah had a gift of premonition, and it was like, passed on ta him, ta which Donnelly remarked that Fig should use his magic voodoo powahs ta get 'em the hell back home.

Stab! Ah've bin stahb'd!

Latah that day, as they neared local boy Mahfouz's village, a tremor in the sand caused a billboahd towah ta come down and crash directly behind Donnelly. The oblivious sergeant asked ta no one in particulah what that was, promptin' Fig ta exclaim (in Spanish) that the towah fell ovah and almost killed him. Suddenly, Epps fired wildly into the sand as a large spiked metal tail snuck up behind Lennox. Donnelly joined in as the tail revealed itself ta be a huge metal scorpion that dove into the sand and outta sight. Still again, Donnelly searched the ground for signs of the creature when it silently slid outta the sand from behind and impaled him on his tail, draggin' him undah the sand, nevah ta be seen again. Patrick Donnelly's involvement in the preceding events, or events mostly similar, were also chronicled in the novels "Transformers," the novels "Transformers," and "Transformers: The Junior Novel," and "Transformers: The Junior Novel"; and the "Transformers: Movie Adaptation" and "Movie Trilogy" comics. The IDW comic adaptation depicts Scorponok depositin' Donnelly's bloody corpse on the sand aftah killing him.

  • Desert Attack (Screen Battles, 2007)
  • Japanese ID number: SB-03
The "Desert Attack" Screen Battles pack comes wit a non-posable figurine of Donnelly. They ah packaged in a special window box featuring a dioramer depictin' the battle at Mahfouz's village. Sadly, Donnelly's figure ain't in a pose wicked conducive ta bein' impaled.
