The Purple Order is one of seven colored orders of the Primus Vanguard. They are led by Purple Wicked Convoy, who carries the Purple Matrix. Their base is the Purple Planet. They're seemingly a lot less morally upstanding than the rest of the Vanguard and like to create monsters.
Fiction
Precursor World
The Purple Order defended the universe of Purple Star Power.
When Purple Wicked Convoy and the rest of Primus Vanguard command pooled their Star Powers to annihilate the Specters in their final battle, the seven universes of the Precursor World were merged into one. The Purple Order was thus brought into the same plane as the other six Orders, where they continued to operate out of the Purple Planet. Finale Prelude
At some point, Black Go Prime made use of his Black Matrix to foresee an all-consuming war for the Seven Lights with the extradimensional future warrior Galvatron at its head and the Purple Order offered to play double agent in the hopes of dissuading the Emperor of Destruction. Finale
Purple Wicked Convoy was talking to his cadre of Shockwaves via video screen when Primus announced that Megatron Omega and the Straxuses had defeated the Blue Order. Unlike every other Order, the Purple Order was not attacked by the Seacons, but rather Ultra Megatron and the Straxuses instead. Sensing his chance, Wicked stopped his collection of Pretender Monsters from attacking the villains, and instead offered an alliance in order to conquer the universe. God Neptune comic 1
Flanked by one of the Purple Order's creations, the Purple-Megatron-Straxus alliance made their way into outer space to participate in the battle royale for the Seven Lights, facing off against pirates, the rest of the Primus Vanguard, and even Primus's inner circle until Primus himself ran Wicked and his Matrix both through with a single thrust of the Star Power-imbued Neptune Sword. Wicked was shattered instantly, leaving behind only a lone popsicle glowing with a mysterious light... God Neptune comic 2Finale Prelude
...which shortly after transformed into Wicked himself, his spark having been transferred into it to serve as his back-up body (at the cost of some downsizing)! Wicked gave a pep talk to the despondent Primus, who had been reduced to his core self, the Oracle. Revealing his Order's deception, Wicked at last made his play, calling on Megatron to get over himself and fight for good. This very much did not work, and after Megatron Omega upgraded himself into Gold Megatron using the Golden Power, he found himself dueling with Purple Megatron of the New Primus Vanguard for the fate of the Purple Order.
It all worked out in the end, as Wicked was later seen resuming his leadership of the Purple Order in the next-generation Primus Vanguard alongside fellow veteran Burning Red Sentinel Prime. Finale
Notes
- Beyond their coloration, the Purple Order has a Shockwave theme going on.
- The Order's apparent hobby of creating monsters (based on Pretender shells that went unreleased in Japan) is based on Studio Trigger's SSSS.Gridman, where the kaijū in that show are designed by a schoolgirl named Akane Shinjō and brought to life by an entity named Alexis Kerib. Alexis and Cyberverse Shockwave share the same Japanese voice actor and Akane's color scheme was based on Shattered Glass Optimus Prime.
- One Purple Order member, seen left, remains unidentified, visible only from the lefternmost corner of their viewscreen, obsured by a speech bubble.
