- Ransack is a Decepticon from the Generation 2 portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Ransack (aka Blitz) is often tasked for reconnaissance missions over Autobot encampments, and is well known for his attack plans and calm demeanor. But once the fighting starts, Ransack fights back; disrupting Autobots from above with his magnetic field generator for stealth attacks. When shot down behind enemy lines, he transforms and battles to the death with his launchable rocket-powered propeller.
(Even though rockets powering a propeller seems like overkill.)

Marvel Generation 2 comic
Ransack's body was among those designed and built by Bludgeon's forces aboard the Warworld during his period of exile. The plan was to draw Prime into a trap, steal the Creation Matrix, and use it to bring them to life. Old Evils The plan worked, although with Megatron at its head rather than Bludgeon. The Gathering Darkness Now bolstered by fresh new troops, Megatron sicced his new forces on the planet Tykos in order to capture the valuable rheanimum gas developed there. Ransack proved himself a capable soldier, though even he was surprised by the raw power of the rebuilt Darkwing. New Dawn
When the Autobots and Decepticons teamed up to fight Jhiaxus's forces, Ransack watched the Autobots leave to save the planet Ethos; Megatron had refused to have his forces accompany them for a battle he felt was beneath their notice. Tales of Earth Part Five When the Autobots found themselves outmaneuvered and outnumbered, Ransack was part of the party of Decepticons sent to save their cans despite Megatron's initial misgivings, turning the tide of battle. After the Cybertronians retreated, he helped Springer set up the "sky sniper" mines in order to stop the approaching Swarm. They were pretty much useless. At least he tried. A Rage in Heaven!

During the war, Ransack served under the command of Turmoil, and was present when their second-in-command, Deadlock, attempted an ill-fated coup. After getting captured at some point, Ransack was held as a prisoner in the Garrus-9 penitentiary complex overseen by Fortress Maximus, stripped down to his spark and held in a tiny box for an as-of-yet unknown crime or offense. Spotlight: Arcee
Ransack was later freed and joined the Decepticons after the war on Cybertron. He and Heavy Barrel fell in with Gutcruncher's engex bootlegging operation. During a theft of an engex distiller, Ransack was killed along with Stratotronic and Heavy Barrel Fight or Flee by Sandstorm for their war crimes. Forever Is a Long Time Coming
Wings Universe
Created in a Cyberfactory on Earth, Ransack was part of the "second generation" of Transformers, who were neither Autobots nor Decepticons. History repeated itself, however, and the new generation went to war, with Ransack joining Clench's Decepticon Syndicate. During a battle for the Large Hadron Collider, he and Powerdive battled Leadfoot and Manta Ray on the facility's roof, where all four were exposed to forestonite gas and possibly developed rotor-related powers. On post-Great War Cybertron, Blitz was one of the stationary Builders, too energy-inefficient to move about on his own. He was hardwired into the controls of the Tesarus Arena, and charged with overseeing its security in case members of the Resistance attempted to disrupt the Games being hosted there. When the Cybertron Alliance fell apart due to the humans murdering Megatron's friend, Ransack answered Megatron's call for war and was soon embroiled in a battle around Metroplex. In the year 2038, Ransack was a member of the Decepticon faction led by Galvatron II. They attacked the planet Beast to steal its energy and became aware of the power of the Three Wise Ones' Gems. Ransack and the G-2 Decepticon jets strafed the Monsterbots and their Legends World allies so that Galvatron's Nemesis could begin harvesting power. However, the Legends Beast Warriors assumed their Transformer bodies and wreaked havoc on board Nemesis, bringing down the ship. The Road to Legends' Revival Chapter 3 Galvatron seized the Gem of Fire and attempted to wield it against his enemies, but the Monsterbots and local Beastformers proved better able to harness the Gems' power. - Generation 2 Ransack transforms into a purple Chance Vought F4U Corsair with green pontoons/bombs underneath. As a Rotor Force toy, Ransack has a propeller that can be launched in vehicle and robot mode, the prop/engine portion of his plane mode becoming a hand-held weapon for robot mode.
- He came with two rotor discs, in case you lost one. (Considering how well they fly, good idea.) Early releases of Ransack and his partner Powerdive came with black plastic rotor discs, but this was changed to red after a short while. The black-rotor version is much less common.
Notes
- The UK/European packaging art for "Blitz" (seen above) omits the toy's flip-out toes. Ransack's North American artwork, being entirely different, retains them.
- The original sample of Powerdive's package art is labelled "Ransack", implying the two had their names swapped at some point. This would make sense as powerdiving is certainly something planes do more than helicopters.
- Transformers: Generation 2 #7 misspells his name as "Ransak".
- The packaging art for "Blitz" accompanies a wordsearch in The Official Transformers: Generation 2 Annual, but he does not show up in any of the book's stories.
