- Runabout is a Decepticon from the Adventure portion of the Aligned continuity family.
Runabout (ラナバウト Ranabauto) is a Decepticon explosives expert whose favorite strategy is to line the battlefield with remotely detonated bombs ahead of time, then wait for unknowing Autobots to stray near them. He secretly looks up to his partner, Runamuck, and is always blowing up cities so that his junk-loving buddy will have more wreckage to look at.

Adventure
Hired by Knock Out to acquire parts for his latest project, Runabout and Runamuck helped Lockdown capture Ultra Magnus, with Runabout placing mines around their hideout in case of intruders. Indeed, a group of Autobots came visiting and triggered the explosives, easily besting Runabout and Runamuck and defeating them using Dogfight's weapon mode. The duo got away with the part, however, and successfully delivered it to Knock Out. Return! The Most Evil Duo

- Part of the sixth wave of Takara's Adventure product (their version of the Robots in Disguise series), Runabout is a redeco of Combiner Wars Legends Class Blackjack, transforming from a black sports car to robot and back. He's colored in homage to Generation 1 Runabout, who the Blackjack toy was originally designed after. He also features six Decepticon insignias: one on his vehicle bonnet, one on his chest, two on his robot shoulders, and arms/side doors. He also features painted eyes on his visor head for original-cartoon accuracy, rather than all-red visor like the original Generation 1 toy.
- Runabout features a scan-badge on his rear-window, which is compatible with TakaraTomy's Transformers Adventure app. The sticker-badge can be removed easily with no indent underneath if one wishes.
- Undocumented in the instructions, Runabout and his axe can plug into the chest of Unite Warriors Menasor (and the various redecos and retoolings of that mold).
- This mold was also used to make Transformers Generations 2015 Adventure Runamuck, and retooled into Generations Rodimus.
