2005 IDW continuity

Tuskmaster was one of a number of Cybertronians who opted to abandon their original factions and join Mayhem—a pan-factional anarchist cell devoted to exposing the crimes committed by Autobots and Decepticons during the Great War and obtained a powerful Chimeracon body capable of disguising himself as an organic creature. When Impactor took command of the unit, he attended a meeting where their new leader laid out their next steps. Sins of the Wreckers #5

Over the next few years, Mayhem continued to operate on Earth, keeping an eye on the anti-Cybertronian campaigner "Megan Guiglione" and adopting new vehicle modes to blend in with her rallies. During one surveillance mission, the mind-controlled Springer arrived and blasted her, prompting "Megan" to drop her own Chimeracon disguise and reveal herself as the Decepticon Overlord. Realizing that their cover had been blown, Tuskmaster and the other members of Mayhem transformed to fight Overlord, but were summarily slaughtered by the superpowered Decepticon.
