During the climactic battle in Egypt between the Autobots, their human allies and The Fallen's Decepticons, the unknown Constructicon shovel appeared in a quarry with the other Constructicons before merging with Hightower to become the left arm of Devastator. The combined robot then began to attack former Sector Seven agent Seymour Simmons, Leo Spitz, Skids, and Mudflap. As Devastator smashed away at the Great Pyramid of Giza after shrugging off Skids and Mudflap, Simmons called upon the United States Navy to fire upon the giant Decepticon. The U.S.S. Kidd fired her experimental rail gun, smashing one of his arms to pieces and destroying Devastator. Revenge of the Fallen
Notes
- This Constructicon is a Caterpillar M9-30 bulldozer with a scoop attachment, a model of construction shovel that differs from both Rampage and Scrapper. They're also much tinier.
- When asked, Hasbro neither had a name for this poor sod nor recognised his existence (saying there were only seven Constructicons in Devastator).
- Studio Series Devastator uses Scrapmetal as his left hand, rather than this Constructicon. However, recent developments behind the scenes over at Hasbro suggests the unknown shovel may have in fact been retconned into a Scrapmetal unit using a different alternate form. It also fits with an earlier statement made by Hasbro back in 2009 that mentioned Scrapmetal turning into a bulldozer. For a deeper dissection into this, see Who is Scrapmetal?.
