The weave that will snatch you out.
  • Sideswipe with Vanguard (Action Master, 1991)
  • Only available with the European-market-only Action Master Sideswipe, Vanguard is a small cybertronic battle tank. Pressing a trigger on his rear section spring-launches the turret forward; while this is pointless by himself, when Vanguard is plugged onto Sideswipe's back, the turret flips over Sideswipe's head to act as a battle helmet. Vanguard's treads fold down to rebalance Sideswipe so he can stay standing. Additionally, Vanguard's cannons and (very small) radar antenna are all attached via 3mm pegs.

Private Vanguard, Ground Command-Advance Guard is one of fifty-two double-sided character cards available in Wave 4 of the Transformers Trading Card Game, War for Cybertron: Siege II. As a Battle Master, Private Vanguard, Ground Command-Advance Guard begins the game in Bot Mode. Instead of being sent to the KO Area once his Health drops to zero, the card is flipped to the Upgrade side, becoming the Anti-Ballistic Turret Helmet, and equipped in the Weapons slot of another character on the player's side of the battlefield . In order to represent Vanguard's size as a Battle Master, the card is the size of a battle card, about half the size of a normal character card.
The card's line-art was drawn by Dan Khanna with colors by Volta.
