Stuck on an untamed world, Hot Rodimus and SARA come across the... BEAST WARS! (guitar riff)

Synopsis
In the 9-BW Spacetime, Hot Rodimus and SARA are confronted by a smaller Transformer, who again introduces himself as Rhinox, a Maximal warrior. Rodimus and SARA introduce themselves and Rodimus, knowing Rhinox already heard too much to attempt to evade his queries, gives the minimum on Cloud World and his mission to find Shockwave. Rhinox promises to keep this extra-universal information to himself and agrees to help. The Maximal warns, though, that there are Predacons out and about in the area seeking an energon mine that the Maximals are also investigating. The ambient energon radiation forces Rhinox to convert back into beast mode, but Hot Rodimus is only mildly affected and he reflects on the differences between the two of them, wishing that he had encountered the denizens of the 24-BW Spacetime when he visited. Rodimus takes note that SARA has wandered elsewhere and soon finds her riding a gigantic rat... who reveals himself as another Maximal, Rattrap. The other Maximals—Optimus Primal, Cheetor, and Dinobot. Cheetor asks if Hot Rodimus is one of their predecessors from the Great War, an assumption Dinobot dismisses. Optimus Primal properly introduces himself as the leader of this band of Maximals, and Hot Rodimus fills him in as to his purpose on the planet, this time leaving out his true origins from another spacetime, letting the Maximal leader believe he is from space hunting down a criminal. Dinobot doesn't quite believe the weak-looking SARA is truly part of a pair hunting down a dangerous entity, but the girl simply pokes the dinosaur on the nose and asks if Dinobot's doing a pick-up line, to Rodimus's embarrassment.
Elsewhere, Shockwave has located the energon mine. Despite the heavy energon radiation in the area causing his body parts to spark, the massive amount of energy prompts the Decepticon to declare this a good place to continue his plan.
With Hot Rodimus and SARA, the Maximals scale the mountain containing the energon mine when a boulder tumbles down to their position. The frazzled Maximals are soon confronted by Megatron and his Predacons! The Predacon leader unsurprisingly declares the energon as his and slides down with Waspinator, Scorponok, Terrorsaur, and Tarantulas. The two sides lock in yet another battle, but Rhinox tells Rodimus that the Maximals can handle themselves—Rodimus's job is to hunt down his true opponent. The large Autobot agrees and takes off in helicopter mode. This doesn't go unnoticed by the Predacons and Megatron sics the flyers, Terrorsaur and Waspinator, on the strange Maximal ally. Hot Rodimus makes short work of the duo, even slicing Waspinator to ribbons with his rotors. On the battleground, the beast warriors are finally forced bakc into beast mode thanks to the energon radiation, but Megatron doesn't mind; he has plenty of time to take down Primal's men.
Hot Rodimus reaches the energon mine, where he finds Shockwave. Landing, the Autobot finally feels harm from the stronger radiation and realizes that he needs to avoid setting off the high-purity energon with firepower. Nevertheless, Shockwave fires a shot and sets off a blaze. Uncaring of this fact, he attaches a mysterious machine in his cockpit to the energon—Hot Rodimus and SARA realize its true function: opening Dimension Gates! It wasn't just the virus that was the goal of the Decepticons' attack, but to also steal the schematics for spacetime travel—contingencies upon contingencies in Shockwave's plan. Rodimus asks what his true destination was, but the Decepticon refuses to answer and flies off in helicopter mode. The Autobot follows in his own helicopter mode, and Shockwave, realizing he truly has to get rid of Hot Rodimus to actually fulfill his goal, engages him in battle. Their rotors clash, but Rodimus's SARA-enhanced body proves superior and Shockwave finds himself falling to the ground with shredded rotors. Taking his shot, Rodimus blasts the Decepticon and Shockwave falls into an energon pool. Before the pool envelops him, Shockwave sends a short spacetime message to his coconspirators: "Change of plans... moving to next phase." He disappears in the resulting energon explosion, which easily reaches the beast warriors' attention. The Predacons retreat, but Optimus Primal orders the Maximals to create a breakwater with rocks to protect the local wildlife from the energon, despite Rattrap's protests.
SARA asks Hot Rodimus to bring her to the energon sprout, and the Autobot obliges. Using her powers, SARA stops the eruption, forcing the liquid to solidify into crystals, and saving the Maximals from an unfortunate fate. The two spot Shockwave, frozen in a wall of energy crystal, just barely alive. Hot Rodimus decides they'll have to take him back to Cloud World just as they receive a message from said world: The Decepticons have attacked again.

Notes
- Much like Armada Starscream in the last chapter, Rhinox and Waspinator are drawn according to their then-contemporary Generations toys. This is also likely the reason for their prominence in this story.
