AlthoughMegatronis not known for his stunning success record, he did achieve a great military victory when hisDecepticonsmurdered a puppy. The "Battle Dog"(せんとう khuyểnSentōken) was endowed with great power by advanced Decepticon science and all.

At some point abducted by the Decepticons, the dog that would become their weapon was reconstructed into the "Battle Dog" so that it could be copied and the copies sent amongst human civilization to destroy it with the power contained within them. The puppy subsequently escaped Decepticon headquarters.
Megatron swiftly ordered theCombaticonsto pursue and retrieve the Battle Dog at all costs so that it couldn't be used against them. The dog, bleeding to death fromBrawl's overeager gunfire, managed to run intoPowerglide,Kenji,and theMinibots.Crawling into Powerglide's cockpit and interfacing with his computer, the dog communicated with the Autobot and told him that he would transfer his energy into his new friend so that he could defeatBruticus,despite knowing he himself would not survive the process. The energy allowed Powerglide to briefly activate a new form ofScramble Powerand combine with the other Minibots into the "Minibot Warrior Spiral attack".The ridiculous new attack drilled a hole through Bruticus, forcing the Decepticoncombinerto flee back to base for repairs.
Afterwards, the dog swiftly died in Powerglide's arms, having lived a life of abuse and neglect, devoid of love or compassion; his suffering at last came to an end.Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers #8

- This is not the only instance of "dog murdered by Decepticons" in the Japanese Generation 1 fiction: inSuper-God Masterforce,the puppyPisbought it too.
- The Battle Dog,Pis,andPatchwould appear on lost dog posters inTransformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II.All things considered, it seems unlikely any of them will be returned to their owners.
