Buzz Dixon(bornDecember 7,1953) is an American writer best known for his work on theG.I. Joecartoon, though he also worked on otherMarvel/Sunbowprojects forHasbroproperties, includingMy Little Pony,Inhumanoids,Jem & the Hologramsand of courseTransformers,specifically theGeneration 1cartoon.Dixon createdHector Ramirez,a character that he inserted into several of the above cartoons, thereby—he claims—uniting them into oneuniverse.He also createdCobra-La,whose name he apologizes sincerely for.[1]
Outside of his work for television, he also did work for Marvel Comics and Eclipse Comics as well as the "Buck Rogers" game for TSR (which is now indirectly owned by Hasbro via Wizards Of The Coast). Dixon also founded Realbuzz Studios in2005in an effort to create and publish religiously-themed manga,[2][3]but the company soon folded in2008.[4]
