- The Deployers are a subgroup ofMaximalsfrom theBeast Eraportion of theGeneration 1continuity family.
TheDeployerswere a group of ancient taskdronesfound byNightscreamin the depths ofCybertron.They are presumed to have been reformatted by theOracle.Though they lacksparks,they each seem to have their own personalities. The group consists ofDillo,Mol,andRav.

Having recently been discovered by Nightscream, the Deployers were escorting the young Maximal andOptimus Primalback to their hidden base when they were stopped cold by a squad ofVehiconTank Drones.Things looked grim for the group untilRamulus,Primal Prime,andApelinqarrived and saved them. The whole group then journeyed underground where theOraclegave the gathered Cybertronians their tasks. The shifty MaximalPackratconvinced the Deployers to join up with theWreckers' crew.
The Deployers took part in the later battle for the Autobot shuttle that would take the Wreckers off-planet, fighting through hundreds of Vehicon drones. However, once they were on board and off-planet the Deployers,Spittor,andSonarwere battered insensible by a stowaway, the bounty hunterDevcon.Departure
Things didn't get much better for them as an act of sabotage byCyclonussent explosions rocking through the ship. The section the Deployers, Spittor, and Sonar were in was jettisoned by Packrat, leaving the five to die a fiery death in deep space.Betrayal

- The Deployers areBasic-scaletoys thatauto-transformfrom animals into weapons with firing missiles.
- Later on, the Deployers were givenrunning changeredecos, though their packaging was not altered in any way to reflect this change. According to store listings, these redecos were originally supposed to have new names, though these plans were changed for unknown reasons.
Notes
- The Deployers andBeast Riderswere developed by Hasbro Direct, a now-defunct extra branch of Hasbro that handled... "extra" parts of Hasbro's action figure lines, such as the 12-inchStar Warsfigures (where the main branch made the 3 3/4-inch figures).
