Gozer is a Class 7 Entity and a deity fromGhostbusters.

Gozer the Gozerian,also known asGozer the Destructor,Volguus Zildroharandthe Traveler,is a powerful and malevolent entity from beyond the universe, dedicated to the destruction of worlds. Uniquely, however, not only must Gozer first be invited/summoned into the realm it seeks to destroy, it also allows the inhabitants of the hapless world it lands on to choose the form of their destroyer, though with a rather liberal interpretation of the word "choose."

I tried to think of the most harmful thing. Something that could always, always, betray us.

After theAutobotsfledCybertronat the end of theGreat War,Gozer appeared on Cybertron before the remainingDecepticons.WhileShockwaveandSoundwaveadvocated caution,Starscreamresponded with anull-ray,the unamused entity reflecting the attack back at the Decepticons. WhenMegatronapproached it, Gozer asked him to choose the image of Cybertron's destroyer. Picking up Starscream's passing thought that only he was powerful enough to destroy Cybertron, Gozer disappeared and rematerialized as a titanic version of theSeeker.Though the Decepticons were quick to counterattack, Gozer was more powerful than even thecombiners,even destroying thestarshipsthat the Decepticons could have used to escape. As the battle raged,Kremzeekthe Scavenger appeared to Megatron and turnedDecepticon High Commandintoghostsso they could live (so to speak) through Gozer. In the year1984,roughly a thousand years after it had destroyed Cybertron, Gozer ran afoul of theGhostbustersinNew York Citybut failed to destroyEarth,the Ghostbusters exploding Gozer's "marshmallow butt" all overCentral ParkWest. As a result of this encounter, the Ghostbusters were willing to partially believe the spectral Starscream's tale,Egon Spenglernoting that they knew "the Traveler" had visited other planets, whileEctronymous Diamatronhad never heard of the being.Ghosts of Cybertron Part 2

When the Ghostbusters, Ectotron, andOptimus Primeconfronted Kremzeek, the Scavenger dramatically announced that upon consuming theAllSpark,he would become as powerful as Gozer. Given their past with Gozer, the Ghostbusters were unimpressed by the Scavenger's boast, as well as finding his name to be stupid.Ghosts of Cybertron Part 4
