Part of the fourth wave ofPower Core CombinersCommander Classfigures, Groundspike is only available with his larger partner Heavytread. He transforms from robot to a large claw weapon for Heavytread to wield in robot mode or amine plowfor his tank mode. He also has an "armor" mode that connects to a Commander's chest- or back-mountedPowerlinxplug for use in either of their robot modes.

Wave 4 only barely made it out to normal retail at first, meaning most fans had to get him from online stores. At the back end of 2011, the later Power Core Combiners started showing up at discount chains.

This mold was also used to makeBlowpipe,United EXWheezel,andGenerationsDaniel Witwicky.
