He was a JapaneseToys "R" Uspromotional giveaway,available in late July 2005, with the purchase ofWing Saber.Reportedly, each store was limited to only 30 of each promotional Platinum Mini-Con.

The same mold is used bySocket,Guardian Speed,andBrake-Neck.

• Amusingly enough, though they are Mini-Con "partners" to Leobreaker, Leobreaker cannotPowerlinxwith the Platinum Micron toys, nor do they have weapon modes for him to use.
• "Hydroplaning"occurs when a car hits a thin sheet of water that causes it to lose direct contact with the ground and, thus, likely spin out or crash. It's avery bad thingto have happen when you're a Le Mans-style race car.
