Josephine "Josie" Firminis a British artist from a family of artists: her father,Peter Firmin,created a number of children's shows includingThe Clangers;her mother, Joan, knitted said show's title characters; and her five sisters are also artists. Josie was educated in textile design at Winchester Art School, after which she gained employment colouring comics forMarvel,includingTransformersandCare Bears.She paints china, and co-founded bespoke china painting business Cosmo China, which sells the work of a collective of artists, including herself and at least three of her sisters. She also writes and illustrates children's books, and teaches art.
