Notes
- The Kospego isveryloosely based on the Algonquian myth of theWendigo. However, it's based more on the popular modern depiction of a half-deer half-human beast; the original Wendigo from Algonquian folklore was a gaunt, corpse-like cannibalistic giant with a literal frozen heart.
- The Japanese name for the Kospego, "Shikapyon" (シカピョン), is a portmanteau of "shika" ( lộc, "deer" ), and "pyonpyon" (ぴょんぴょん), a mimetic adverb which means "hopping" or "repeatedly jumping" (as deer are known to do).
