Linkin Parkis a Grammy Award-winning band fromCalifornia,USA. The lead single from their albumMinutes to Midnight,"What I've Done",was sampled in a theatrical trailer for the2007Transformersfilm.It was also played in the film—first on the car radio during the scene in whichSamdrops offMikaelaat her house, then over the final scene and credits—and was included on the film'salbum.Linkin Park's single forRevenge of the Fallen,"New Divide"was released exclusively on iTunes onMay 18,2009,and then later inRevenge of the Fallen'salbum.

In addition to "New Divide" being showcased in the soundtrack forRevenge of the Fallen,Linkin Park also worked withSteve Jablonskyinscoring the film.The guitar riff of "New Divide" is sampled in "NEST", one of the tracks from the score.

Linkin Park's single "Iridescent"from the albumA Thousand Sunswas featured inDark of the Moonand onDark of the Moon: The Album.Each used a shorter "remix" version of the song. Their song "Burning in the Skies"(also fromA Thousand Suns) was also featured on theRussianedition ofDark of the Moon: The Album.

Their single "Until It's Gone"from the albumThe Hunting Party,was featured in theRise of the Dark Sparklaunch trailer.
