- Loudpedal is aDecepticonfrom theGeneration 1continuity family.
To look at theTech SpecsofLoudpedal(ラウドペダルRaudopedaru), one would think him a useless coward. Suffering fromintercranial autocomposition,his brain constantly generates intricate melodies, leaving him constantly distracted. In truth, however, he is a genius without peer: he is one of the galaxy's foremost musicians. Unfortunately, that's not a skill the Decepticons recognize the value of, so they rate him very low, and employ his sonic talents offensively instead. If he concentrates enough, Loudpedal can deploy sound blasts as offensive weapons, or perfectly track downAutobots,or even sculpt solid matter into new shapes and functions.[1][2]

Loudpedal and his research partnerOil Slickoperated under the remote direction ofShockwaveandKnock Outin a hidden Decepticon bunker. One of their research subjects had been used to test new Combiner technology, as well as growing a Matrix "shell" for Shockwave's exploitation.Deadly AimAn unexpected side effect of the various experiments was the test subject producing toxic sludge from its body, like a universal solvent. At the same time, the subject's own super-structure and internal working adapted to the sludge, by necessity becoming hyper-regenerative and self-repairing.
Loudpedal saw the opportunity to impress his superiors with this creation, and so he and Oil Slick arranged to use the test subject as a weapon. Induced cognizant stasis kept the subject inert between missions, after which it could be unleashed into the field to destroy selected targets before reverting to stasis for safe recovery and storage. Loudpedal made several successful deployments of the subject, and hoped his work (plus stunning good finish) would net him a fellowship with Knock Out himself.
However, Loudpedal allowed his ego and enthusiasm to get the better of him. The stasis-lock implant inside the subject eventually corroded beyond repair. This seemed to be a moot point, for the subject was quite tractable and did not seem to require punishment or restraint any longer to be obedient. Only when reporting to Shockwave and Knock Out did his superiors point out the obvious—the test subject wasn't submissive, he was merely biding his time until the station's resupply schedule provided him an escape ship. Sure enough, the alarms were triggered mere moments after Shockwave ended the video call.

Loudpedal had once been resigned to a life lacking recognition due to being held back by intercranial autocomposition, a disorder where hisbrain moduleconstantly generated music, leaving him tetchy and unable to focus. He eventually came upon a solution: connecting to the interplanetary file-sharing systemGalacShareand exporting the melodies to free up space. Under the stage name of C Shadow (short for Cymond Shadow), and aholomatteravatar based on the humanRaoul,Loudpedal quickly became the galaxy's most popular musician. However, he saw his music as nothing more than buzzing in his head, turning down offers from both theGalactic Olympicsand theInterplanetary Royal Family.
One day he was approached byExhaust,who had deduced his identity by looking at GalacShare's user data in his role ofMarlboor Dynamic's corporate espionage agent. Exhaust had a proposition for Loudpedal: in exchange for co-operating with Marlboor's Cyber-Psychology Research Division, Marlboor would support both of his careers as a Decepticon soldier and a musician, with Exhaust acting as his manager and the corporation providing him with new powers and weaponry. Loudpedal initially was wary of this incredibly generous offer, but his concerns were given pause when he realized that Exhaust might be a fan of his.Noise & Smoke

He comes with the gun from theRoad Ragerelease of the mold; a redeco of theRaoulminifigurefrom the original Tracks release, now in his "Auto-Bop"color scheme, representing Loudpedal'sholomatteravatar; and a redeco of theBlasterboombox in the colors of his originalMicro Change"RadiCasse Robo" toy, now representing Loudpedal's pocket "Soundwarrior"media player. He also comes with a sticker sheet, allowing the owner to replace the Decepticon symbol in the middle of the flame pattern on the hood with the" CS "logo featured on the originalDiaclonerelease of the Corvette Stingray mold; for the purposes of this toy, however, the "CS" stands for "CymondShadow ". A short story about Loudpedal called"Noise & Smoke"is printed on his instruction sheet.

- "Loud pedal" is another name for thesustain pedalfound on pianos. It's also a slang term for the accelerator pedal on a car.
- The prose story "The Toxic Transformer"established a character namedVivisectorthat was based on the blackDiacloneStingray; the story was released less than a day before the announcement ofMasterpieceLoudpedal, which was based on the sameDiacloneorigin.Fun PublicationsauthorLuke Thompsonhad no idea about plans for aMasterpieceversion of "black Tracks", so that's quite a coincidence! He would subsequently rewrite the story to replace "Vivisector" with "Loudpedal".
