• Matere first got involved with theTransformersbrand when Dreamwave couldn't keep up withHasbro's needs for art assets, leadingAaron Archerto look online for suitable contractors.^[3]The first piece of packaging artwork he did for Hasbro wasArmadaSwindle.
• Matere was originally contracted to do 8 pages forMegatron Origin#4,which were drawn and submitted to IDW. However, apparentlyAlex Milnewas also contracted to do those pages, and his versions were used instead.
