He voiced Fred Flintstone inThe Flintstones,Grandpa Simpson inThe Simpsons,Treebeard in Ralph Bakshi'sThe Lord of the Rings,Eggplant Wizard inCaptain N: The Game Master,Statler in the first episodes ofThe Muppet Show(he later took the role of Waldorf instead) and Fred Sanford inSanford and Son,among others.
