Oddly enough, not the only spaceship that can do punchbuggies.

TheMegastaris thePredaconstarship and mobile command center. It is equipped withtranswarp cellsand also capable of moving underwater and underground; the versatile craft is constantly on the move to avoid detection byAutobots.The ship has a throne room forMegatron,living quarters for the crew,energonsmelters, and special vats for converting other energy sources into energon. The ship's arsenal includes missiles and beam weapons, and it also has a shield that can reflect incoming beam weapons back at attackers. With this technology, the huge vessel is able to defeat even the hitherto-undefeatedOmega Prime.TheMegastar's most obvious physical characteristics are its two huge, humanoid arms, one of which ends in a five-fingered fist, the other in a two-pronged claw.

TheMegastar's instruments picked upDorie Dutton's news story about theCave of the Dragon,inadvertently leading the Predacons to another dead end.The Ultimate Robot WarriorThey used theMegastarfor transport around theUnited States of Americaafter stealing someprotoformswhich theyreformattedintoDecepticons.The DecepticonsMegatron subsequently monitored the Decepticons' work from theMegastarbridge as they tried unsuccessfully to destroySherman Dam.CommandosHaving shotMovorinto space, the Decepticons communicated with him using the ship's computer.Attack from Outer Space

TheMegastarcomputers were evidently also hooked in to theInternet,asSky-Byteused them to discover he was a jellyfish via an online fish test.The Fish TestThey parked the ship onEaster IslandonceUltra Magnus: Forced Fusion!and once more underwater, where the the ship's computer was used by its crew to review their past defeats in the hopes of learning something.Mystery of the Ultra MagnusIt was later moved to theArctic.Power to Burn!Their interrogation of Doctor Onishi finally saw paydirt in the form of the location ofFortress Maximus,Fortress Maximusbut soon after, while the ship was parked near the pyramids, Sky-Byte removed Onishi from the ship as part of a plan and accidentally handed him back to the Autobots.Koji Gets His Wish

The ship was parked near some old ruins when Megatron decided to lead his forces in trying to obtain theOrb of Sigma.Peril from the PastMegatron's disappearance resulted inScourgetaking command of theMegastar,briefly.Maximus EmergesAfter Megatron returned as Galvatron, he hid the ship in a deep sea trench while they tried to take control of Fortress Maximus.The Human ElementAn attempt to kidnapKoji Onishiinstead resulted in Koji's friendCarlbeing taken aboard theMegastar.Mistaken Identity

During a heated battle,Galvatronexpanded until he was able to graft his hand mode onto one of theMegastar's arms. Thus augmented, the ship was able to brawlFortress Maximusinto an apparent stalemate. However, Maximus's tremendous firepower was apparently enough to destroy theMegastar,and it was last seen bursting into flames and crashing and sinking beneath a lake.Surprise Attack!

• Whenever it appears in an episode, theMegastaris always in a completely different location than its last appearance. The second episode ofRobots in Disguiseestablishes that the ship requires stolen/converted energy in order to move. This implies that (despite all appearances to the contrary) the Predacons actually manage to steal a considerable amount of energy during their stint on Earth, albeit while off-screen.
