There are a number of common modifications to the basic model, perhaps none so remarkable as the so-called "Gambler" upgrade, which inserts an explosive syntheticDestroniumround randomly into every magazine.

Part of the third wave of 2012GenerationsDeluxe Class toys,Fall of CybertronSideswipeis an extensive retool ofFall of CybertronJazz,and includes an inordinately large new-mold "battle cannon" that's modeled after the Path Blaster. It has5mm postsfor the handle and on its side, has a spinning,ratchetingdrum, and features a barrel that one can extend/retract just by pulling/pushing it out/in until it clicks into place. In an undocumented feature, the blaster can mount at an angle onto his vehicle rear, with the back of the blaster sliding into the spoiler.

• Decepticon Rebel Infiltrator Starscream(Deluxe, 2014)

Rebel Infiltrator Starscream is aMillion Publishingmail-away exclusive redeco of hisFall of CybertronDeluxe Class figure in translucent grey, red, and blue plastic, presumably to emulate Starscream with his signature 'cloaking' ability activated as seen prominently in Chapter XI of the game, but also resembling traditional 'ghost' portrayals of Generation 1 Starscream by coincidence.

Starscream also comes with three weapons, all molded in opaque plastic but with black, red and gray decos that resemble Starscream's own Neutron Assault Rifle accessories, as well as the Path Blaster and Sling Shock (marketed as a 'photon burst rifle') fromFall of CybertronDeluxe Class Sideswipe and Shockwave, respectively.

  • The Gambler - Randomly selects a shot in the clip to have an uber powerful explosion
