Beast Machines
- Quickstrike(Basic,2000)
- Known designers:Yuichiro Hira(TakaraTomy)
- Part of the second wave ofBeast MachinesBasics, Quickstrike transforms into a technorganic wolf, and features an opening jaw. Inrobot mode, his left arm hides a translucent spring-loaded blade that deploys when a button on the arm is pressed. The robot mode also has an undocumented feature: the tail-blade extending from the back of his head is on a limited swivel joint and has his eyes molded into the front, which means moving the tail back and forth moves his eyes in a side-to-side sneaky-scanning manner.
- Hisspark crystalis hidden inside his torso in both modes, mainly visible only during transformation.
- Obsidian/Quickstrike(2-pack, 2000)
- Quickstrike was also available in a two-pack with theVehiconObsidian. Both toys are actually on their original individual cards, but packed within a thick cardboard backing with "Beast Machines 2 Pack" printed on it.
- Among other outlets, these were sold at the now-defunct toy chain ToyCo, which was similar toKB Toysand appeared in several of the "Mills" family of shopping centers, like Arizona Mills or Ontario Mills, in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
