The Transformers
- Ravage / Rumble(Cassette 2-pack, 1984-1986)
- Accessories:Left & right "Thruster Guns"
- Known designers:Shinji Aramaki(concept artist)
- Rumble was part of the first wave ofTransformerstoys released in 1984. Originally aMicro ChangeMicrocassette Robo Micross, he transforms into a microcassette that fits into the tape deck compartment of the originalSoundwaveandBlastertoys. InHasbromarkets, Rumble was only available in a two-pack withRavage.
- The 1984 release of the toy has a foil Decepticon symbol decal on Rumble'srobot modetummy. The 1985 release drops this decal in favor of arubsignunder the cassette-mode's tape-window. The 1986 release switches out his metal feet for plastic feet.
- This mold was also used to makeFrenzyandEnemy. It can also berepurposedasG1 cartoon Frenzy(which obviously also applies to many of the following toys, so we won't repeat ourselves).

- Soundwave(Decepticon, 1985/1986)
- ID number"17
- Accessories:Left & right "Thruster Guns"
- In Japan, Rumble was originally only available packaged with the much-more-accessory-laden-than-the-Hasbro-version Soundwave. All versions of this toy have a rubsign.
- Rumble(Cassettetron, 1987)
- ID number:D-102
- Accessories:Left & right "Thruster Guns", cassette case
- Rumble was finally released on his own in Japan duringThe Headmasters,in an individual box. Contrary to popular belief, the Cassettes released this way didnotinclude extra tape cases.
Generation 2
- "Rumble"(Go-Bot,
1995)- Accessories:Rifle
- Known designers:Masakatsu Saito(concept artist)
- Part of the canceled fourth wave ofGeneration 2Go-Bots,Rumble would have been a race car with a pizza-oriented sponsor ( "Vinny's Pizza", possibly a reference to then-Hasbro employeeVincent D'Alleva) and an engine-oriented sponsor ( "Jerry's Motors", possibly a reference to Hasbro employeeJerry Jivoin). He would have transformed into a modified Chevrolet Camaro with exposed engine block. He has through-axle construction to allow for super-fast rolling in car mode. Like his fellow "new" -mold teammates, his rifle stores under his car mode.
- Although he was never officially named in any known documents, his name is written on the front bumper. A very small handful of finished samples have made their way to the secondary market, where they demand some big bucks.
- This mold was redecoed into 2001Robots in DisguiseSide Swipeand the 2003Universeversion ofSilverstreak.
- Amusingly, he would have beenboth redandblue.
Alternators
- Decepticon Rumble(Alternator, 2006)
- ID number:24(misprint, should be 25)
- Accessories:Left & right blasters
- Known designers:Steve Bono(Hasbro),Don Figueroa(concept artist),Marcelo Matere(packaging artist)
- Released in the final assortment ofAlternatorsproduct, "Decepticon Rumble" (named so fortrademarkreasons) transforms into a 1:24-scale licensed 2006 Honda Civic Si. In car mode he has opening doors, hood, and trunk. He is the onlyAlternatorstoy with a spring-loaded gimmick: instead of traditional forearms, he features spring-loaded piledrivers that release from his upper arms. Unfortunately, these piledrivers are incredibly wobbly when deployed, as the limited amount of space for them to compact into means there's almost nothing left inside the biceps to stabilize them. He has two weapons based on the original toy's guns that clip onto the roof panel on his back (since he obviously can't hold them, what with the no normal-type arms); the right one doubles as his vehicle-mode engine, and the other just kind of stuffs into his trunk.
- Rumble's seats aremisassembled, keeping them from reclining completely in car mode: the cutouts on the seat-backs that allow them to go around the torso-block are on the outside rather than the inside. Fortunately, this is fixed relatively easily; one must simply unscrew each seat from the bottom of the car, swap them, and then re-screw them. Also, it's only like a millimeter or so of difference so it doesn't really affect much if you leave them as-is.
- Rumble and his wave-mateRavagewere originally intended for normal retail release in the US, got delayed as the line ended at normal retail, then were ultimately relegated to beingWalmartexclusivesreleased in late March of 2007, well after the line's disappearance from toy shelves. The molds are also are notable for being the first and only DecepticonAlternatorsto be entirely new sculpts actually designed as those characters from the get-go, rather than Autobot sculpts reworked to be someone else. Also they are the only molds not released in Takara'sBinaltechline in any capacity:Binaltechhad ended in late 2005 (as far as anyone knew), but the molds were still not used during its short 2008 revival.
- Ironically, despite being first revealed at the UK Toy Fair (in the form of early concept art for a design that was ultimately never used, depicted on the left), Rumble was never released in Europe at all.Don Figueroawould later share a clearer look at this unused concept art viahis Twitter.
The photography to the right is slightly mistransformed. The skirt armor is still folded up into his abdomen.
Universe(2003)
- Rumble(Basic Class, 2006)
- Accessories:Blade, Cybertron-style Decepticon Cyber Key
- Available only in the customization class atBotCon 2006(along withInferno), Rumble is aredecoofCybertronScrapmetal(using theCobybotalternate head), transforming into a four-legged "spider tank" with top-mounted cannon. Inserting aCyber Keyinto the back end of the cannon swings a removable clear-plastic sawblade-sword from the main chamber of the cannon. In robot mode, the fists can be covered with the tank mode spikes, or a "pile driver".
- Both Rumble and Inferno were only available as unpainted, unassembled parts still connected to their sprues. The individuals taking the class had to assemble and paint the toy. The following Testors paint colors were used: Burnished Gold, British Gulf Armor, British Crimson, Magical Blue, Armored Steel, Flat Black, Camouflage Gray, and Medium Gray.
- This toy came accompanied witha biothat was not entirely official for years, as it was never vetted by Hasbro. Almost a decade later, the Facebook edition ofAsk Vector Primewould canonize it.
Music Label
- Frenzy & Rumble Playing Earphones(2007)
- Released as part ofTakaraTomy'sMusic Labeltoyline, Rumble and Frenzy share a fairly simplistic transformation from robots to white, circular, working earphones. Since they are functioning headphones, Rumble and Frenzy are permanently tethered together by wire. Although sold separately from him, they were designed to go well with the Music LabelSoundwave MP3 player.
Encore
- Great Cassette Operation Vol.3(2009)
- ID number:19
- Accessories:Left & right "Thruster Guns"
- Rumble was reissued for the first time in over 20 years, along withFrenzy,Overkill, andLaserbeak,as part ofTakara'sEncoreline. This toy at the very least features several restored parts (including the head and weapons) if not an entirely new mold based on the original version. This theory is supported by the copyright Tomy 2009 on the inside of the leg rather than the Hasbro or Takara copyrights, and the different look of the headsculpt. This version of Rumble does not feature any of the cassette mode stickers or those originally on his legs. Most of the cassette details are now painted instead (but not those that end up on his arms in robot mode). The lower leg details are painted as well (but not the upper legs - that detail remains absent). His faction symbols remain stickers.
- This release also has a new change to his guns: an added raised bump on the inner wing-side stabilizer, in addition to the bump on the minigun-side stabilizer present in the prior releases. This added tiny bit prevents the normal "slide the forearm between them" method of weapon-holding. However, the raised bitsdofit around the elbow joint, and makes for an incredibly snug fit. But this also makes it effectively impossible for him to point his guns straight forward.
- In 2014, Rumble and the rest of the Cassettes were re-released as a lucky draw prize (along with the other 2 box sets) for theTransformers Celebration 2014event held at Ikebukuro Sunshine City store's Toys "R" Us, though this was very likely to be remaining stock.

Transformers(2010)
- Demolition Rumble(Scout Class,
2011)
- Accessories:Left & right cannons
- Known designers:Joe Kyde(Hasbro),Tomoya Miyake(TakaraTomy),Andrew Scribner(deco artist)
- Rendered, perhaps somewhat surprisingly, in the blue color scheme of Rumble's Generation 1 cartoon appearances (and the original Frenzy toy, the 1986 release gold weapon variant, specifically),Transformers: Reveal the Shield"Demolition Rumble" transforms into a dual-cannon anti-aircraft vehicle. In robot mode, his arms can transform into spring-loaded versions of the character's familiar pile-driver weapons, and his twoC jointguns can be attached to bars on either his arms or back. As part of theReveal the Shieldsubline imprint,Rumble features a heat-sensitiverubsignon his main turret.
- "Demolition Rumble" was intended to be released as part of the fifth Scout Class wave of the 2010Transformerstoy line (alongsideDownshiftandBodyblock), but fell victim to the line's discontinuation by all major U.S. retailers in favor of the then-upcomingDark of the Moonline. Unlike the previous wave, which was released in other markets and eventually showed up at U.S. discount stores, the Rumble/Downshift/Bodyblock wave remains unreleased.

Masterpiece
- Rumble & Jaguar(2013-02-23)
- ID number:MP-15
- Accessories:Two piledrivers, piledriver mount, Left & right "Thruster Guns", pink tape case
- Known designers:Shogo Hasui(TakaraTomy)
- MasterpieceRumble is an updated version of the original Generation 1 toy, transforming from a highlyarticulatedrobot to a mini-cassette the same size as his Generation 1 toy, although it cannot fit in the original Soundwave toy's chest cavity. He still has his traditional Thruster Gun weapons, which can peg onto his back, or be held by his hands via3mm post.He comes with a pink case which can be used to store him in tape mode.
- To replicate his and Frenzy's signature abilities from the cartoon series, Rumble comes with two large piledriver accessories that clip onto his arms. The piledrivers can connect to a mounting piece that allows them to be worn on the figure's back when not in use, and they also contain hollows to store his Thruster Guns. The mounting piece can also attach to his back on its own to resemble a battery pack.
- The piledrivers can also interact with other figures: They can clip toMasterpieceSoundwave's forearms to form cannons, or combine withMasterpieceFrenzy's own piledrivers and link up with Soundwave's "sensor" accessory to form the interface cable that allows Soundwave to connect to other devices, as seen inThe Transformers: The Movie.
- He still comes in a two-pack withRavage, just as he did during the Generation 1 toyline. Rumble was, naturally, redecoed to create Frenzy, as well asEnemy.

This version also adds a "missile" backpack to him, which, when he is clipped onto the bars on either of Soundwave's modes, turns him into a gun emplacement.
- He was only available in aKre-OBattle Changers pack ofRatchetvsSoundwave, who also came withFrenzy,LaserbeakandRavage.

- Decepticon Rumble(Legends Class,2016)
- Accessories:Rifle/tank cannon

In spy-tablet mode, he can be stored inSoundwave's chest, and features a 1:1 scale audio port that you can connect a pair of headphones to. His original stock render showed him as a straight redeco of Rewind, but the final product features a new head. Rumble is packaged with a collector card based on his card art. Like all Legends Class spy tablets, his stickers are prone to coming off at the edges after some posing and transforming.
- This mold was redecoed intoBumblebeeFrenzy.Unlike Rewind, the Rumble/Frenzy retool did not receive a JapaneseLegendsrelease.

- Movie:The Transformers: The Movie
- TakaraTomy ID number:SS-102
- Accessories:Left & right "Thruster Guns", twin piledrivers, piledriver heads
- Known designers:Evan Brooks(Hasbro),Shogo Hasui(TakaraTomy),Mario Carreiro,Christina MurphyandAmy Bence(packaging),[2]Marcelo Matere(packaging artist)
- Released in the fourth wave ofStudio SeriesCore Class figures, "Rumble (Blue)" boasts greaterscreen-accuracythan his prior release and is a smaller mold than most of the other Core Class toys. However, this is offset due to his accessories and complexity, rivaling that ofKingdom/LegacyEject.His accessories include the thruster guns that weren't included with his priorSiegefigure, as well as his piledrivers with non-movable pistons (although the tips are on 5mm pegs and can be shifted down to the end of the peg to simulate them moving or just be completely removed). Due to size and transformation constraints (chiefly the space needed to fold his fists into his forearms), he doesn't have elbow joints.
- His cassette mode is designed to the same specifications as theWar for Cybertron Trilogycassettes, and therefore can fit into any iteration of theSiegeSoundwaveandKingdomBlastermolds' chest compartments.
- While the Core Class lacks the backdrops included with all other Studio Seriessize classes, the inside of Rumble's packaging is decorated with art of the communications tower he breaks into at the beginning of the movie.
- This figure was marketed as an iteration of Rumble even byTakaraTomy, who generally depict Frenzy consistently as the blue Mini-Cassette.
- The figure was redecoed into his partner,Frenzy.
