Shooter was one of several Joes who confrontedCobra Commanderand theBaronesswhen they attempted to flee theKoh-Buru-Lahbase. He was gunned down mercilessly. The Golden Boys

- Unlike his compatriots, Shooter was not aG.I. Joetoy, but an "extra" fourteenth member added to the roster of the original thirteen Joes in the first issue of theMarvel comicto fill up some extra panel space. The character was expanded upon inDevil's Due Press'sG.I. Joecomics (andretconnedinto a black woman, rather than the white man Shooter appeared to be in the original cameo), in a one-shot story that also included her death. The character is named forJim Shooter.
