Back on Earth, Shouki and the Trainbots took Danny andWheelieon a sightseeing trip in Tokyo, Japan. Shouki was very proud of the country, which was his birthplace on Earth. WhenSixshota mysterious robot declared his intention to steal all of Japan's energy, Shouki and the Trainbots remained quietly alert, confident their combination form could handle any threat to their homeland. As a demonstration of their newfound trust in each other, Raiden urged Chromedome to shoot at the holographic Sixshots swarming around him, knowing he would certainly be hit by some of the blasts. The Decepticons were eventually driven off and Shouki and Chromedome shook hands back at headquarters, having forged a warrior's bond on the field of battle.Terror! The Six Shadows

After being shot out of the air by Sixshot, Shouki bravely challenged the much larger Decepticon to battle, before withdrawing behind the large vehicle forms of his teammates and using them as cover to fire on the Decepticons. After returning to Earth, the Trainbots re-entered Ultra Magnus's command at Autobot City. Summoned to transport the Technobots to the site of a Decepticon attack inMiami,Shouki opined that Ultra Magnus should alert Fortress to the attack, but Magnus wanted to handle things on his own without bothering the commander. As the conflict escalated and Sixshot and Trypticon besieged Autobot City itself, Shouki and the Trainbots returned to the city and Shouki again pleaded for Ultra Magnus to ask for help. Magnus relented this time, and Shouki sent word to Athenia before he and his team joined the battle as Raiden. The Trainbots were wounded fighting theNine Great Demon Generals, who tore them apart in their Raiden configuration. AfterKickbackhad stolen data specs ofMetroplex'snew body,Shouki disguised himself as theThunder Arrowand lay in wait for theInsecticonto come to him. In due course, the Decepticon approached Shouki and was wholly fooled by his disguise, allowing the Autobot and Daniel to strike down Kickback and incinerate the data he was carrying. Though Daniel congratulated Shouki on a job well done, the Autobot wasn't too keen on partnering himself with the boy; remembering what had happened to his comrades fromZone,Shouki urged Daniel to distance himself from him so that he wouldn't come into harm's way. The conversation was interrupted by an emergency signal emanating from Cybertron, and the pair took off for the mechanical world.
Upon arrival, Shouki was accosted byThe Fallen, who had burned his way to Cybertron's core in order to reachVector Sigma. The ancient Transformer sardonically thankedOverdrivefor guiding him to his goal, a statement which Shouki misinterpreted as meaning that Overdrive was in cahoots with The Fallen. He prepared to blast Overdrive, only to be stopped byAlpha Trion. The elder advised Shouki to consider the situation at hand without letting his emotions cloud his judgement. Alpha Trion furthermore directed Shouki's attention to Vector Sigma as it activated itself, prompting Overdrive to petition hissparkand hisQuantum Dialto the super-computer in order to stave off The Fallen. To Shouki's disbelief, the pact was made and several cosmically displaced Transformers materialized about to fight back against The Fallen.Train Wars
But the reinforcements didn't prove as helpful as Shouki and friends had hoped as the Fallen summoned a host of infernal energy spikes, impaling them all! Cackling in victory, The Fallen began to assimilateVector Sigmawith his tendrils. Shūta and Daniel tried to stop the mad demigod from taking theTransformers' creator, only to get tangled up themselves. As all seemed lost, Shouki was thrown into a flashback of Raiden and the other Trainbots falling in battle. Driven to a blind fury by his own helplessness in protecting his friends, Shouki broke free from the Fallen's restraints in a fury but was calmed by Goshooter, who reassured him they could trust in their partners.
Just then, the villain soon found himself under attack from a mightier foe: Metroplex! And with him every single train Autobot! Shouki was reunited with his Trainbot teammates and Daniel ended up for the better, having been saved by the presumably lostOverdrive.TheOmnibotexplained that he was able to use thehumanas a homing signal to escape.

With Vector Sigma safely in his possession, Alpha Trion uses his function as the key to the supercomputer to give Shouki a new mode: the train bazooka" Raiden "! Aimed by Goshooter and empowered with Metroplex's energies, the bazooka blasted The Fallen, vanquishing him. In the aftermath, the Omnibots promised to return everyone to their right place and time, and the Trainbots shared a tender moment as Daniel reminded Shouki they wereallhis partners.Train Wars 2

When the time was right, the Trainbots erupted into their robot modes, catapulting their passengers to safety and shredding several of creatures' tentacles in the process. - Trainbot Shouki(2022)
- Release date:June 25,2022
- ID number:MPG-01
- Accessories:"Mach laser" gun, 2 seats, rail A, rail B, Raiden chest part, joint part
- Known designers:Kōjin Ōno(TakaraTomy),Dai Ono(Tomytec),Yuki Ohshima(concept artist)
- Previously teased during the "A Railway Story In The Sky" exhibition onDecember 3,2019, and later confirmed in a magazine interview[1]with designerKōjin Ōnoin theMarch2021issue ofFigure Ō,this version of Shouki is the first release inMPG.Produced in collaboration withTOMIX,thetrain departmentof TakaraTomy'sscale modeloriented subsidiaryTomytec, the figure converts into a fully HOscalecompatible incarnation of his classic0 Series Shinkansentrain mode.[2]Shouki's third mode forms the upper torso of the historic first "Masterpiece"combiner in the form of a new incarnation of Raiden.
- Shouki includes seat parts scaled to fit two figures in his front cabin, bothMasterpiecehuman figures or—in a cheeky reference to the Trainbots' significantly higher profile in thepre-TransformerDiaclonetoyline—pilots from the 2016Diaclonetoyline via a pair of flip-down "booster seats". The figure includes Raiden's chest plate for torso mode, which can be stored in his front cabin in both train and robot mode (and during the conversion, if you're feeling ambitious) or be used as a shield. Shouki's gun can be stowed in his right calf in robot mode and his undercarriage in train mode.
- Lastly, the figure includes two modular railway sections slated to combine with segments included with the other Trainbots à la the team's originalDiacloneplastic tracks. This track can be converted into a base for a stand armature (sold separately), and an adapter is included for display as either a "flying train" (a staple of theHeadmasterscartoon) or a dismembered torso display while you wait for the rest of the combiner. Morbid!
- Optional Generation 1 toy-accurate stickers for Raiden's chest plate were released by TakaraTomy as a promotion inFigure Ō'sJuly2022issue.[3]
- This mold was later retooled intoGinou.
- One word of warning is necessary for the aspirantMPGTrainbot diorama builder: the set's adherence to vehicle mode accuracy proves something of a double-edged sword. While theMPGTrainbots adhere to a unified 1:87-ishHOscale,they do not adhere to a unifiedtrack width. In accordance with their real-life inspirations, Shouki,Yukikaze,GinouandYamabukiutilizestandard gauge(true HO) tracks whileGetsuei,Suiken,SeizanandKaenutilizemetre gauge(HOm) tracks. It is thus necessary to split the team up accordingly if one is to actually roll the danged things.[4]
Notes
- Though it is a little tricky to tell the true meaning of Shouki's name since it is "spelled" in phonetic katakana rather than kanji ( chung quỳ ), it most likely comes froma Chinese mythological figureora type of Japanese WWII fighter planenamed after said figure.Ask Vector Primewould make reference to the latter in detailing the Trainbots' origin.Shoukialso means "sanity" ( chính khí ), a pun occasionally used for jokes in fiction.
- Shouki had the preliminary name ofMach(マッハMahha),[5]which was likely taken from the occasional identification of theDiaclonetoy as "Machliner" (マッハライナーMahharainā).
- Shouki appears as part of the Trainbots' combined train form in thetitle sequenceof theSuper-God Masterforcecartoon, but not in the series itself. The series creators seem to have intended to use the Robot Train to travel back and forth toAthenia, more closely tyingSuper-God Masterforceto previousTransformersseries, but the idea was quietly dropped. They did, however, appear for that purpose in theconcurrent comic series.
- Kreon Shouki wears theIronhidehelmet andStarscreamwing-backpack.
- Shouki'sMPGtoy received an Excellence Award in the "High Target" (read: collector) Toy category at the 2022 Japan Toy Awards.[6]
