"Dinobot Micron" Sling is aredecoofClassicsNightscream,transforming into a dragon. As a Mini-Con, he has a "Powerlinx"socket on his... uh... dragoon-mode underside... that allows him to attach to larger toys with compatible Powerlinx plugs.

His balljoints are particularly prone to popping apart, particularly during transformation, but they pop back together fairly easily. His knee joints are also particularly loose.

Sling was a Japanese-marketcampaign item,a free gift with the purchase of 3000 yen worth ofLost Ageproduct at Edion toy counter, Best Denki, Yamada Denki, and Yodobashi Camera stores.

This mold was also used to makeDragoyellandUniverseBrimstone.

Notes

• With the other promotional Mini-Cons produced around this time being based on existing characters—particularly,Ivan,PaulieandThunderlipsare based onDinobotsGrimlock,StrafeandSlugrespectively, with their names being theRocky-based toyline codenames for those characters. The name "Sling", however, is drawn from "Slingshot", the pre-production name forCrosshairs.
• The Dinobot Microns' instructions lack any indication of what faction they belong to. Of course, beingDinobots,you can take a pretty safe guess.
