Spacewarp is aDecepticonfrom theCybertronportion of theUnicron Trilogy continuity family(via the2003 Universe toyline).

She assures us. The faceplate. Comes. Off.

It's not thatSpacewarptriesto be arrogant... it's just that she's really quite good at what she does, and she won't let you forget it. A gifted flier with a space-capablealternate mode,Spacewarp's travelled the length and breadth of thegalaxyand consequently fancies herself something of a swashbuckling adventurer. There's nowhere in space that she won't go, and no planet or culture too weird for her to explore. Spacewarp's inseparableMini-ConcompanionFoldspacekeeps her company during her long voyages. More recently, she's teamed up with theInterstellar Marauders;when they're not combining into theTranswarp Blaster,her "crew" keeps her company on her lonely voyages through uncharted territory.

Although Spacewarptriesto stay out of trouble when she can, circumstances have a way of quickly getting out of hand and invariably roping her into yet another madcap adventure. Even though she's nominally aDecepticon,Spacewarp has often found herself performing good deeds on her many voyages. She's admitted a grudging respect for theAutobots,once you can get past their holier-than-thou attitude and their tendency to judge Decepticons on sight.

With acy-garin her mouth and the power of the Transwarp Blaster on her side, there's nothing in the universe that she fears.

Ask Vector Prime

InAurex 006.0 Kappa,Spacewarp rescued Foldspace from the clutches ofMaxa Q,thus earning his loyalty. She got her hands on theMaelstrom Exchequeron planetSargasso,then used it as the buy-in for a high-stakes game ofTriadbeing held onMonacus.Despite playing against such powerhouses asInitial T,Lord Delirious,Senator Feh'dof theDominion of Mirtonia,the Blood TyrantGastrathrameferous IIIofShi-La,MobedyarDaggerthrust the LesserofVestum Minor,andSideways,she managed to bluff her way to victory, earning theTranswarp Blasteras her prize.

With the help of Foldspace, she was able to break theInterstellar Marauders Mini-Con Teamout of theirstasis lockwithproton energy,enabling them to once again exist as individuals.Boom Tube,Starburst,andJump Drivepledged their loyalty to her in gratitude.

This crew went on to menaceVector Primewhile he was attempting to aidPrimusin warding off thedark matterspewing forth from theUnicron Singularity.Despite having no innate ability to travel through time or dimensions, she was able to lock on to Vector Prime and follow him when he attempted such maneuvers.Ask Vector Prime, 2015/09/17

Spacewarp's Log

In her youth, Spacewarp was a far more innocent bot, naïve to the ways of the universe. She originally worked forMegatronas a long-distance scout, although thousands of years of being alone had already caused her to start questioning Decepticon extremism. On one mission, she was tasked with tracking a group of Mini-Con deserters. The trail led her toTasmos,where she encountered a holographic fleet of ships andMedulus—an organicalienwho had abandoned his physical body along with the other Tasmians. The Tasmians provided her with some upgrades, although she declined to talk about justhowthey'd upgraded her body.Spacewarp's Log (1), 2015/10/30

Spacewarp was stranded for several million years on the war-torn planet ofPurgatory,where she turned the perpetual war in favour of theGadreel.Spacewarp's Log (1), 2015/10/27

Spacewarp had many adventures between the end of the Powerlinx Battles and the beginning of the Unicron Singularity crisis. On one of her more notable adventures, she encounteredDinosaur AceandGorilla Ambrosius,defenders of the planetS'elar.The three teamed up to take down the nefariousPrince Diabolicus,who had cursed the sector with aChrono-Hex.Spacewarp would cross paths with Dinosaur Ace later on.Spacewarp's Log (1), 2015/10/31

Another time, she encounteredThunderblast,Ransack,andCrumplezonein theSpensifax System.The two fem-bots stole the schematics for aRISK,and wound up on the run from the two dimwittedVelocitronians.Spacewarp eventually got away with the plans, and Thunderblast patched things up with her friends.Spacewarp's Log (1), 2015/10/28

OnDykayra,Spacewarp stumbled across a Cybertronian cult who worshipped the "Ultimate Warrior".One thing led to another, and before long she found herself tied up as part of a ritual sacrifice to their living god. Spacewarp managed to bluff her way out of this sticky situation by demanding to face the Ultimate Warrior in combat. After turning the Ultimate Warrior's flock against him, Spacewarp fled the scene but bumped intoFracture's ship before she could escape.Spacewarp's Log (1), 2015/10/28

After a misadventure onTetra Gar,Spacewarp bummed around onSertonfor a while. The native robots begged her to investigate rumors of sea monsters kidnapping the locals. Spacewarp discovered the ruined city ofSertlantia,which had been repurposed into a base by a group of rogueInsecticons.Their leader,Chromhorn,was attempting to salvage theTemporal Analysis & Replication Dampening Interference Subjugatorusing kidnapped slaves. Spacewarp tricked him into merging with the machine, ending the menace. She got a useful Sertlantian time window out of the adventure.Spacewarp's Log (1), 2015/10/29

On another adventure, Spacewarp was tracking downPya'dorus the Pitiless,a search which took her toTharkoros II.She discovered that Pya'dorus had made a deal with the nativeClonemastersto create thousands of duplicates of himself. Realizing that she needed to find the original, she headed to the Clonemaster's sanctum. There, she discovered that Pya'dorus had created aremote-controlled cloneof Spacewarp, forcing the Decepticon to battle against her doppelgänger. Spacewarp triumphed after tricking her doppelganger into smashing the cloning apparatus. The thousands of Pya'dorus clones developed sentience and immediately began trying to off one another and the Clonemasters. Spacewarp was unmoved by the Clonemaster's protests that she'd ruined their civilization.Spacewarp's Log (1), 2015/10/31

While in theMoldavitesystem, Spacewarp worked as a mercenary. While patrolling the planetPellucidus,she discovered a secret civilization of subterranean Moldavites inhabiting the lost world of Inner Pellucidus. She was taken hostage byTeximite Morbidiusand his warband of rowdy bugboys. Before they could hang her, she was rescued by a group of Valkyries and brought back to their queen, the AutobotChromiaSpacewarp's Log (2), 2015/11/07Spacewarp dueled the Autobot, but wound up rescuing her. The two opted to join forces in their fight against the bugboys, deposing Teximite and brokering peace between the male and female Moldavites. Using somegurunium,the two Cybertronians escaped the inner world and returned to the surface.Spacewarp's Log (2), 2015/11/14

On another adventure,Hourglasssent her to 31st centuryEarth.There, she encounteredKing Arthurand theSpectral Knights,who were waging war against theInhumanoidsandDarkling Lords.Although they believed her to be an enemy at first, Spacewarp and the Spectral Knights formed alliance. Using her alternate mode, she ferriedRamakandGaladriaup to the moon, where they rescued the twin infants of the Lunarian QueenMahinafrom the Darkling LordBraxe.Spacewarp's Log (2), 2015/12/05

While on the planetRegalis III,what should have been a simple trip to buy some black marketpower convertersturned into a battle to save the galaxy, pitting Spacewarp against a crazed cult intent on opening a portal to another dimension. On the steampunk world ofVarus VI,Spacewarp found herself on the wrong end of a local mob Boss. It looked like the end for her, but she was saved byOdysseus,ahumanhero who had attained immortality through a series of improbable adventures.Spacewarp's Log (2), 2016/01/17

Spacewarp was searching for the Enigma ticBombshellwhen she flew too close to ablack hole.Foldspace's quick thinking saved them both from being crushed, but unbeknownst to either they had emerged in adifferent universein the 22nd century. When they returned to where Cybertronshouldhave been, they discovered a rocky planet in its place. Before she could process this, Spacewarp was attacked and nearly shot down by a nearbyEjoornianship, only to be saved by a group of primitive-looking mechanoids. They introduced themselves as theTerrakors,and as thanks Spacewarp carried them and their human companions back down to the planet, which they calledSkalorr.They filled the Decepticon in on their history, and Spacewarp noted that as a Decepticon, she felt a kinship with the villainous cyborgs. Before she could find a way back to her home reality, however, she was double-crossed by the Terrakor leader Nemesis! The Terrakors' human allies pinned down Foldspace while she herself was surrounded by the Terrakors.

Although Foldspace managed to escape and fly away, the Terrakors dragged Spacewarp to an abandoned laboratory, intending to dissect her and use her as spare parts. Before Tyrannix and Gaxon could begin the procedure, the heroicProtectons,whom Foldspace had convinced to help, intervened, easily defeating the Terrakors. Spacewarp, Foldspace, and the Protectons retreated back to the ruined city of Zanadon. Once again, Spacewarp tried to leave—but this time, theCompu-Core,the source of allRobotix,had malfunctioned. Unable to live with the guilt of letting two sentient races die on her watch, Spacewarp pledged to help repair the Compu-Core with parts from a nearby computer lab. Spacewarp and Bront guarded the lab while Nara and the humans investigated. They discovered, however, that the Terrakors had reached the lab first, and had turned its machinery against the Protectons!Spacewarp's Log (2), 2016/01/23

Spacewarp helped repulse the Terrakors from the lab, but damaged her engines in the process. And without the right tools to replace the circuit sphere, the Protectons would need to search elsewhere. The team set up camp for the night, only to be attacked by over a dozen ape-like mutants, who took Sphero and Bront hostage. Spacewarp and Tauron managed to sneak in and spring the duo from the clutches of the monsters. On returning to Zanador, the group discovered that Argus—leader of the Protectons—and the skeleton crew they'd left behind had been ambushed by the full force of the Terrakors. Luckily, Spacewarp's engines had repaired themselves overnight, and her airborne alternate mode helped turn the tide. After the Compu-Core was repaired, Spacewarp finally managed to leave Skalorr behind, but not without wishing Argus and his forces well in their continuing battles against the Terrakors. She managed to return to her native dimension after a wild adventure involving all sorts of bizarre characters (but she assured us it'd be nothing we find interesting).Spacewarp's Log (2), 2016/01/24

Once she ended up in Axiom Nexus, she took a job as a fill-in host forANN'sAsk Vector Primecolumn until such time as she could bamboozle her way off-world. After theShroudwrecked dimensional travel, Axiom Nexus expedited visas for space-capable travelers like Spacewarp and she took the chance to fly off. Soon after being voted the second-best guest host of Ask Vector Prime, she agreed to report on her exploits exploring the galaxy to ANN. This was to be of great value to Axiom Nexus's stellar cartographers (and for ratings).Ask Vector Prime, 2015/11/03

Spacewarp's Log earned her loads of money and a safe harbour in Axiom Nexus! A series of adventures and recaps of multiverse-hopping adventures ensued, including saving Vector Prime,Scorpia,andGalaxy Shuttleone time.Spacewarp's Log (2), 2015/11/22In the end, rescuing Galaxy Shuttle a second time led her to an ancient, dying crystalline alien calledPhysis,who wished to be euthanized beforeParthinian Raiderscould exploit it. In return for this service, she was given a brief portal in which she could return home to her own universe. UniverseSpacewarp was to have been a redeco ofArmadaGiga-ConJetfireslated to come with a redeco of theSpace Mini-Con Teamas well. Even though Spacewarp was initially intended as aToys "R" Usexclusive, no retail chain ultimately ended up wanting to carry the figure, so it was shelved. Spacewarp was among several proposed exclusives that were ultimately put into retail limbo during the waning of theUniverseline.

This concept was ultimately released, albeit modified, as one of the first exclusives available for purchase toTransformers Collectors' Clubmembers,Astrotrain,though with aredecoof theGiant Planet Teaminstead of the Space Team.

• The original Spacewarp toy proceeded far enough in development at Hasbro to receive package art fromDan Khanna,which was eventually printed in the 2019 hardcover bookTransformers: A Visual History.
• No bio has ever surfaced for Spacewarp, a commonality among latter-dayUniversetoys. Spacewarp (and Boom Tube) being a female individual, however, was invented in 2015 by Ask Vector Prime.
