After all the Mini-Cons on Earth were gathered around the Ark, they entered it, and it took off into space.Armada #8The Mini-Cons were taken to the Moon, where another group of Mini-Cons led by Dualor had constructed a moonbase where their race could live in peace forever. After returning to Earth, the Street Action Team were seen listening to one of Rook's speeches about Mini-Con independence.Fire & IceThey successfully infiltrated the base, but were forced to hide from the three Heralds of Unicron who were stomping around inside.Worlds Collide, Part 3 of 4The team located the null-reality pods, and High Wire watched as Sparkplug, Over-Run and Comettor used them to traverse dimensions and retrieve Optimus Prime.Worlds Collide, Part 4 of 4Prime returned with news that Unicron was coming to devour their dimension's Cybertron, so all Mini-Cons had to return to their homeworld and fight against him. After saying their goodbyes to Rad, Carlos and Alexis, the Street Action Team joined the other Mini-Cons at the Loop on Cybertron and poured their energies into the Mini-Con Matrix. The Street Action Mini-Con Team are a trio of smaller one-person vehicles:High Wirethe BMX bicycle,Grindorthe rocket-skateboard, andSureshockthe motor scooter. Each one has aPowerlinxsocket on their vehicle mode that allows them to attach to larger toys with compatible Powerlinx plugs, activating specialgimmickson the larger toys when attached to a "live" plug. The three toys can also combine into the super-robotPerceptor.

This version of the Team was nominally available as a three-pack, released in the first wave of bothHasbro'sArmadaline andTakara'sLegend of the Microns,with packaging being the only notable differences between the two. The Hasbro pack was also included in some clamshelled "Bonus Packs" packed in with other toys atKmart(for a price only barely lower than buying the toys individually); the Street Action Team has been found packed with the Super-ConsHot ShotandSideways.

Theseredecoesof the Street Action Microns have been tweaked to make the three morecartoon-accurate,typically with more detailed paint operations and generally lighter colors.

This set was only available with the CD single of the firstLegends of the Micronstheme song,"Transformer: Dream Again"byPsychic Lover.

The team's official name has bounced a bit: the name listed above is what it's called on the packaging. Magazine solicitations called it the "Super Anime Color Edition Street Action Micron", while the "Micron Museum" portion of Takara's website called it the "Street Action Micron Anime Color (CD version)".

Each one has a few small but significant paint differences from their original releases. But on top of that, these toys are also actually a completely new mold-set, with various tiny detail differences from theHasbro/Takara releases.

ForEnergon,the Street Action Mini-Con Team were given brand new molds: High Wire is now a dirt bike, Grindor is a hovercraft, and Sureshock is an all-terrain vehicle. They retain the ability to combine into Perceptor.

There don't appear to be any discernible differences between Hasbro's Perceptor and Takara's Cliffjumper releases. Perceptor's final toy notably differs in design when compared to the cartoon, due to hiscartoon modelbeing based on an early Takara sketch that featured a completely different design for Sureshock. In this preliminary design, Perceptor's arms would've had all four of Sureshock's wheels located on them.

These molds were also used to make theEnergonExtreme Competition TeamandCity Stealth Team.

TheArmadaStreet Action Mini-Con Team mold set was redecoed for the2003Universeline,this time in a distinctly evil theme of black, dark green and blue-gray.

This version was available only as part of aWalmart-exclusiveset, withSunstormandInferno.

All photos on the card show the set in their respective molds' originalArmadacolor schemes, evidence of an extremely rushed production.
