Star Wars Transformers
- Darth Vader / TIE Advanced(2006)
- Accessories:2 lightsabers/missiles, 2 solar panels/shield & cape, Darth Vader figure
- Known designers:Brian Parrish(Hasbro),[1]Marcelo Matere(packaging artist)
- Darth Vader's mecha transforms into aTIE Advanced Starfighter, featuring twin spring-loaded missile launchers. These missiles become "lightsaber" melee weapons for the robot mode. One of the vehicle mode's solar panel arrays forms a "cape" for the robot mode, the other a large deflector shield. Like allStar Wars Transformerstoys, it comes with a tiny mini-figure of its pilot.
- Darth Vader / Death Star(2007)
- Accessories:Removable solar arrays
- Known designers:Brian Parrish(Hasbro)[1]
- Three TIE Fighters, which have "Mech Modes" where heads pop out of the cockpits, are included in this package. Oddly, the instructions and description on the box refer to them asMini-Cons.In both modes of the larger Darth Vader/Death Star toy, panels on the back open to reveal storage compartments for the TIE Fighters.
- The compartments on either side of the back are barely large enough to accommodate more than one TIE Fighter at a time without disassembling the solar arrays.
- Galactic Showdown(2-pack, 2007)
- Accessories:2 lightsabers/missiles, 2 solar panels/shield & cape, Darth Vader figure
- Known designers:Brian Parrish(Hasbro)[1]
- This Walmart-exclusive two-pack, released around the holiday season of 2007, featured slight redecos of the Darth Vader TIE Advanced Fighter figure and the originalObi-Wan Jedi Starfighter.Darth Vader was molded in a more teal-colored plastic, as compared the original blue-gray, but the paint applications were the same. Similarly, Obi-Wan featured blue paint applications (and a repainted astromech droid) instead of the magenta from the original release.
Crossovers
- TIE Pilot to TIE Bomber(Star Wars, 2008)
- Accessories:Missile launcher, missile
- This toy transforms from a double-podTIE Bomberto a TIE Pilot withgiant"wing"kibbleon his arms. As it is part of theCrossoversseries rather thanStar Wars Transformers,it does not include a pilot mini-figure. The missile launcher slung under the bomb pod detaches to form a handheld gun in robot mode.
- Darth Vader to TIE Advanced X1 Starfighter(2009/2010)
- Accessories:2 lightsabers/missiles, 2 solar panels/shield & cape
- A repackaging of the Darth Vader TIE toy. The toy is identical to the previous release, though like the TIE Bomber, it does not include a mini-figure this time.
- This toy was first made available under theCrossoversbanner in 2009 in white and blue packaging, and later in the summer of 2010 in black and blue packaging.
- Darth Vader / TIE Advanced X1 Starfighter(2012)
- Accessories:2 lightsabers/missiles, 2 solar panels/shield & cape
- A re-release (redeco?) of the first Darth Vader mecha figure, minus the small Darth Vader figurine.
Star Wars/Transformers
