Megaverse
From Transformers Wiki
Fourth-dimensionally speaking, theMegaverseis what lies between theMultiverseand theOmniverse.Where the Multiverse incorporates the manyuniversal streamsthat are recognizable to us as what we would term "Transformers universes", the Megaverse is a wider sphere, containing that entire multiverse, but also innumerable other realities that, while far removed from the world(s) of the Transformers, are notsofar removed as to be disconnected from them entirely, even if linked only by the thinnest of quantum threads. For instance, the adventures of America's highly-trained special mission force,G.I. Joeare largely confined to their own universes in the Megaverse, as are the escapades of theMobile Armored Strike Kommandand the exploits of theAnimorphs—but their links to the Transformers multiverse do lead to universes overlapping and interacting on occasion as they wend their way through eternity.
TheTranscendent Technomorphsdo not typically monitor or classify Megaversal universes, as they are considered to be outside of their purview. One notable exception occurred with the discovery of theCymondCluster, which was originally believed to be outside the multiverse, but was recently found to exist right on the Multiverse/Megaverse border, a sort of "transitional ancestor" linking the Transformers to the wider Megaverse.[1][2]
Notes
- The concept of the "Megaverse" originated withMarvel Comics, conceived to explain where titles published by the company that had no relation to their famous characters or their world—for example, theNew Universeor theUltraverse— "existed".Ask Vector Primeco-opted the term.
