By quickly turning a sharp edge faster thanDirt Bosscould,Hot Shotwon the race (even with his new, bulkier, less maneuverable body) and was thus chosen to lead, though he thought he was just racing. The Speedia 500 was the race that determined the leader of Velocitron'sSenate.In the era prior to theGreat War,Blurrhad won the race but ceded his duties as leader toRoad Rocket.Believing that this presented the opportunity to lead only to the fastest, the terrorist groupMayhemhijacked theWreckers' feed to demand that the race be dismantled and power returned to the proletariat, threatening violence if their demands were not met. • The race's name is taken from the Japanese name for Velocitron inGalaxy Force,"Speedia" (スピーディア).
• In theGalaxy Forceversion, Ransack was trying to win because Thunderblast promised to marry him if he won and he got in the fight with Crumplezone for not informing him.
